COFFIX — Restaurant in Byford

Wonderful little cafe with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Location is ok although my visit wasn't for the veiw of the Southwest hwy. Went at about 11am for brunch. Easy to get a table at this time. I ordered the "mushroom Hash stack" and husband an omelet with bacon, cheese, tomatoe and mushroom. Coffee was lovely and made at a fantastic temperature and taste was smooth. Food was delicious and fresh. Husband loved his omelet and looked to be a wonderful portion. Mushroom Hash stack was big! Big beautifully cooked Mushrooms with Spinach, Cherry tomatoes, Hash browns (about 3), poached eggs and holinaise sauce dusted with paprika. I enjoyed my meal and couldn't finish (the best to my ability tried) only thing I wish they had done was slightly wilted the Spinach, lightly fried the tomatoes and hoped for my eggs fo be a little runny not hard, but the flavours were beautiful and would highly recommend stopping past. You can be rest assured that your caffeine fix will be expertly prepared and served with a smile. Coffix is also more than just a haven for coffee enthusiasts; it is also a culinary gem. Menu is small, but good. Can highly recommend the French Toast, BEST I have ever had; and so beautifully presented.

We went on open day & the service was fantastic. The coffee was great. Donuts were amazing!! Went back just this last week & if it was my first time I’d be hesitant to return! But as it wasn’t I will go back again to give them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered the chicken quesadillas & it was very underwhelming. There was about 6 small pieces of chicken inside. It tasted amazing. But for $24 (& someone who has had weight loss surgery & can never eat a full entree let alone a main - I ate all of this)! I then decided to grab some donuts on my way out & wish I didn’t. They tasted terrible. Almost like the oil has burnt a few times & cooked everything in it since opening day & the donuts in the same oil. They were dense & tasted of oil that needed changing!

I will return & test it again! Because I believe businesses can have off days! Hopefully when we try again I can leave a better review!
