I am consistently left underwhelmed and disappointed coming to this cafe. It could be sooooo much better than it actually is. The coffee is OK but not great, and the aesthetic is designed well with lots of seating. However, the back booths are constantly surrounded by flies and midgies living in the pot plants at the back which is a huge turn off. The food is hit and miss. I really really want to love this place, but it’s a bit of a let down. The scrambled eggs come out too sloppy and the toast underneath soggy. The chilli eggs come out slathered in chilli sauce which is overwhelming. Have ordered two big breakfasts which came out side by side and the portions on them were vastly different between the two plates. The baked beans are delicious but that is usually served with only a pea sized amount in the bottom of the tiny bowl. The menu boasts delicious food which is so appealing but the execution needs tightening in the savory menu items. This place has the potential to be wow but fails to get there...
Read moreWhat was meant to be a relaxing birthday breakfast. Had a booking confirmed for a time, on arrival advised the table had been given away as it was booked half n hour earlier. We showed staff the confirmation, they acknowledge they had made a mistake but it ended there. We then had to ask, where's do we sit, where do we order, where are the menus ? Very little care from the staff, which in return left the birthday girl upset and none of us wanting to spend our money there. We are quite understanding and acknowledge that mistakes can happen but for the staff to just be like well sorry I think its just not good enough. Why did no one call us to ask where we were ? If the staff had said look we are sorry we've made a mistake but here is the menus please take a seat where your comfortable can I get you any coffees. We would have all stayed. Good chance we won't go back and won't recommend to others. Glad coffee club was...

Tried Fig and Ivy for the first time since opening next to Woolworths in Byford. Had the Beef burger with chips (regular & GFO), it was very tasty and well prepared. The menu has good variety including special dietary requirement options. Prices are average, 2x burgers and chips & 2 drinks came to approx $62 Atmosphere can be loud, but shows it's a popular and relaxed Cafe. Will keep going back for sure. Very friendly and prompt service and staff.
