Incompetent.

Ordered three meals, two meals arrived and went cold while we waited 10 minutes for the other one to follow, I ordered the Smashed Avocado on Toast, it arrived and was just a solitary slice of toast, bear in mind it cost $20...and it wasn't even toasted, it was Smashed Avocado on 'Bread'. I politely returned the Smashed Avocado on 'Bread' and kindly ask for the advertised 'Toast'. Having waited a further period of time for the mistake to be rectified my guests had finished their dining experience and we just awkwardly waited. Once it arrived, the Smashed Avocado on 'Bread' remained with no Toast in sight.

I Would never usually complain or write a review, but for the price of the slice of bread I received, i would hate some other innocent Patron to experience this 'Pitfall'

Quite obvious the Kitchen staff are either incompetent or imbecilic. Do yourself a favor and keep walking past, much better options in the Cairns city.

Credit where credits due, Floor staff and table...

Dropped by for breakie this morning. The cafe was busy with locals as it's located north of Cairns CBD away from the main tourist area. We had to wait for a table because the heavily pregnant manager was busy with a group of QLD Police detectives. Absolutely understandable that she was occupied, but none of the other staff attended to us even though there were tables free.

Once we were seated, the wait staff was friendly and apologise. We ordered the Yellow Super Smoothie and Cold Brew to start, and the Pina Colada Waffle Stack and Good Morning Vietnam for breakfast. The Good Morning Vietnam was surprisingly delicious. Noting that we like bean sprouts and the green papaya slaw balance it nicely. Probably can do with a bit more pork belly. The Pina Colada Waffle was the Best looking and tasty waffles combination we've ever had. Everything on the plate just works and pops together, the flavour was amazing. Highly...

Hi everyone! I am writing a review from an absolutely neutral state the next morning. I'm tired of the Australian service where they rush you to order and then take the plates from under your fork. I don't think this is correct. This is bad service. Yes, everyone is already accustomed to this attitude. But we can make the Australian customer experience better. If we talk about this particular cafe, where I ordered a Vietnamese breakfast and a milk shake, I am sad that operating in such a beautiful place, you can prepare such disgusting stuff. It’s even sadder when I see what kind of ratings visitors give. This is a road to nowhere. If we evaluate such mediocre cuisine so well, what will we eat in the future? Guys, please be more realistic. Don't be a "TikTokers." Let's write real ratings and not put on a nice face about poor service and cuisine. Enough. Thanks. Peace. One world 🌎...

I had high expectations based on their menu, beautiful photos of the food, and the price point. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this cafe and was left very disappointed. I have been to other restaurants which highlight native Australian ingredients and felt they were able to balance and honour the flavours much better. I don't think there was enough seasoning/salt and that the ingredients mixed to make odd combinations that didn't taste good to me. There were large chunks of rubbery and chewy fat left on the duck which was cold. And unfortunately the roo on the rubin was chewy with a flavour combination that left a slightly fishy off flavour in my mouth. I also found a hair in my dish and couldnt finish it. I'm giving the restaurant a 2 instead of 1 because the staff did not charge for the contaminated dish. Its sad because it is a lovely serving team and beautiful location.

This is a beautiful, airy and bright cafe across the road from the esplanade, with roomy indoor and outdoor seating options with lovely wooden decor. We just ordered the yellow super smoothie and the truffle and tofu toastie. Quite possibly the best smoothy we’ve ever had. The crunchy coconut flakes added great texture to the mango banana and tepache flavours.. Definitely a MUST try. We were a little disappointed with the toastie as neither of us could taste any truffle at all. The waitress (who was very helpful) brought a little extra mushroom truffle pate to the table, but all you can really taste is mushroom. We thought there needed to be a stronger / noticeable taste of truffle, as the name of the dish is what grabbed us. The bread was really lovely and fresh though. Nice flavour combination with pickle. The service was fantastic - very friendly, happy, helpful staff.
