Amherst Sushi - Canning Vale — Restaurant in Canning Vale

Usually i am fine when ordering here but this time was a different story. I ordered a donburi, squid and seaweed salad. I saw three people waiting before me so i knew it may take long. However when they got their orders along with two other customers that ordered AFTER me that ordered the same food I did...I was confused. Their were also ubereats orders being done which consists of the items I ordered so I thought mine shouldn’t be too long now, I was wrong. Keep in mind that the lady that served me knew I was waiting as she avoided eye contact whenever she would leave the kitchen. After 45+ minutes of waiting we finally asked why it was taking so long and that we would like a refund.

Annnnnd of course they forgot my order and blamed it on the salads being still frozen as if they didn’t just give the previous urbereats orders the same exact items. They also forgot I ordered the donburi so the whole time they weren’t even preparing it and ONLY the seaweed and squid salad that had apparently been defrosting. Still, it shouldn’t have taken that long to defrost two salads. In the end, I got my refund and the two customers that overhead the ordeal also left as they also were waiting 10+ minutes to order.

It is evident that they are very very understaffed and could probably use more staff to focus on Uber eats orders and some to focus on in store customers. Also if you see someone waiting for so long, MAYBEEEE ask what they ordered or acknowledge them or let them know what’s going on. you should be prioritising the customers who are in store as they were the ones bothered enough to travel to the store. So...

OMG.. I don’t normally leave review but I must do for this time. It is really poor quality and I was so disappointed. I totally regret to spend my money on this food.

My husband had a ramen and sushi roll. The quality of sushi roll was not so good. I think the chef or the boss does not know Japanese food well. (I am very sure they are not from Japan)

The salmon sashimi that I had was so thin. Never seen sashimi with like that thinly sliced..

I said we are dine in but served with take away plastic container even without any small bowl for soy and wasabi. My husband just used its lid for soy... I brought the little container by myself after my husband did use its lid.

I want to ask the boss if she/he has proper dishes for dine in. If not please tell customers It is take away only. I was not so pleasant to spend my money with this quality either food and...

My family has been a long time customer. In the early years the service and food was brilliant. Lately, it has been very disappointing. The service has been very poor. We always order bento boxes which always included Miso Soup as part of the order for no extra cost. Last week we were told after we had ordered that it will cost an additional $1.50 for each soup. We paid without question although we were NOT happy. We had to wait an extremely long time about 45 minutes... and after that we did not receive the Miso Soup. We had to ask for them again. And when we did it was not received well. I felt very uncomfortable. It wasn't nice to have to ask to receive the full order and it wasn't nice to have to pay extra for something that had always been included for so many years.
