Blue Butter Pâtisserie & Café — Restaurant in Western Australia

I visited Blue Butter Patisserie and Cafe at the Vale Shopping Centre in Canning Vale, and even though it was a bit of a drive, it was absolutely worth it! I discovered this place after seeing a picture of their strawberry watermelon cake, which instantly reminded me of Black Star Pastry in Sydney. The fact that they claim to be halal was another big plus for me.

The shop is located right near the front entrance, next to Vale Bakery. They have a variety of savory made-to-order options on their all-day menu, but I was there solely for the cakes. I picked up three: the signature strawberry watermelon, the mango pandan (because how could I say no to pandan?), and the chocolate choco.

I have a lot of respect for patisseries that take on intricate layered cakes, as it requires so much creativity and effort. The strawberry watermelon cake was light and refreshing with a perfect pastry cream, though the jelly on top was a little thick for my liking. My favorite was the chocolate choco — rich and indulgent, with a strawberry confit that balanced it perfectly. Loved it!

Overall, a great spot for high-quality cakes. I just wish they were closer to home so I could try more of...

Blue Butter is a quite new cafe and patisserie in the City of Gosnells area, and from the way it has started, it should become a much-visited spot for people who like classic French style patisserie with, sometimes, a nice twist of Asian flavours integrated. There is nowhere else in this area doing anything similar, and having lived in the area for over 30 years, we have always had to travel far for this kind of experience. No longer, it is now right here in Canning Vale! The quality is first class, and the service is friendly and efficient. The coffee was robust and full flavoured, and the milk foam was skilfully decorated. There is a good range of savoury eats available too, including all-day breakfast which we look forward to trying soon. I came for event at library when I came across this awesome cafe.🫶🏻 The cafe is nice and quiet.😊 Very good ambience. With light melody music playing. I felt very relaxed.💐 Even though I ordered a chicken sandwich take away, due to the pleasant ambience and calm atmosphere at this cafe I sat there for a little while more. The staffs were really friendly and welcoming. They also take cake orders for parties as well. We have to pre-order the cakes. I have mentioned the flavors and rates in the photos. They also do high tea orders too. Really happy to have such a great place. Will surely keep visiting for the yummy menu , friendly staff and peaceful calm atmosphere 😊.
