Ordered a bacon and egg roll (as advertised) with cheese and a hot chocolate and waited the 10 mins. Received the roll with sauce but I was not asked if I wanted sauce. I said I didn't want the sauce and was told it is standard and I should have asked for it without as all rolls and burgers come with it. I said, if it came with sauce, should it not be advertised as "with sauce"? I asked to speak to someone who could help, she said she was the one. And she would barely look at me in the eyes and didn't seem to want to discuss or fix the matter. She suggested I scrape the sauce off as I'd paid for the order so that's what i get. I attempted to scrape away but the sauce was throughout all the roll top. I asked for a piece of bread to replace the roll top. The lady claims because I've ordered there before with sauce then that meant this morning too; my ONLY other order was a burger otherwise my son bought chips maybe 3 times previously. How she remembers us out of the thousands of peoples she would have seen in that time, I have no idea. I call nonsense. Usually when a store puts sauce on without asking I throw the roll out, but I spent $10 on the roll and drink and hadn't had breakfast yet. Most places ask "Would you like sauce? Would you like salt and pepper?" Nope, not here, they just assume you want what they want.
Very unimpressed with the service and attitude of this store. Won't be going back here. Will prefer Maccas b&e muffins anyday. Sauce changes the taste of the food and ruins it, makes the bread soggy and falls apart. I don't consume sauces in my diet anyway, so, how bold of them to assume that I would have sauce on my food. The burger with the lot I had there a few weeks ago was substandard also; meat was tasteless. Too much...
Read moreHaving just missed the lunch curfew decided to ease my hunger with a piece of fish and a couple of potato scallops from the Casino "institution" that is Londys. Came from under the heatlamp, admittedly, but the potato in the scallops was like mashed potato. It was hard to tell where the slightly soggy batter stopped and the potato started. They did have a potato flavour though. The fish was a frozen jobby, real fish cut into a long rectangle and suffered from being cooked for too long under the lamps. The flesh was mushy, and the flavour was quite unusual. Would I go back? Possibly, but I'd ask for it to be...
