The better fish and chip shop. To put it blankly: Castlemaine is full of racism, the only reason people avoid this shop (even though it is clearly the better one) is because it has Asian owners. I ALWAYS go to this shop, they give you bigger chip sizes, they use vegetable oil so if you want to go out with some vegetarian friends then it’s not like there is nothing to eat, the chips taste fresher and have a really nice golden crispy-ness that you love to see on chips. They take real time when preparing your meals- and you can actually tell! When you order grilled fish it is always presented quite nicely, the battered fish is my personal favourite way of eating fish, the batter sticks to the fish in just the right way -no separation when you take bites-.
