So, Starbucks, it's finally here in Perth, but it's really a let down in quality. I've tried it many times before overseas and wasn't expecting an Aussie store to be any different.
Quality of the coffee beans, you can taste cheapness of their roast and beans, very sour.
I ordered an iced Mocha, and sadly it's just an iced coffee with some cheap tasting chocolate powder mixed in, no chocolate syrup to be found.
Another person with me got the Gingerbread Iced coffee, Also a huge letdown as you could taste the plastic container the syrup comes from. It also gave a very tinnie aftertaste making it quite unpleasant.
It was also $13.70 for 2 "tall" sized drinks, where a Starbucks "tall" is just a small size anywhere else. So you are paying the premium if the Starbucks name without any quality product to enjoy.
Hopefully hot drinks may be better next time but I won't be holding up my hopes.
If you want a better option for better quality drive-thru drinks, just go to McCafe where at least they have some quality control and base level decent drinks.
If you want a good coffee, please go support a local coffee shop where it will be probably cheaper and far nicer then Starbucks.
Are Starbucks worth the time? No
Do I think they will last? No for very long with their very average quality and...
Read moreHonest review: We went for the nostalgia as we have family members who love it. Day 4 after their opening, Sunday noon (12:30). Indoor wait was 20 minutes, after ordering 5-10. We were told drive through was an hour. We counted 13 baristas behind the counter. Despite the full house they kept everything rather clean and well stocked.
All the consistent customer service and flavors as you would expect. Heard a few were sold out. Pink drinks? We ordered: Almond latte, Regular latte, and a Mocha Frappe. Yes. The espresso is darker. It tastes different, because it’s roasted differently. Expecting that will help if you have never been.
Coffee and drink prices were on the high side, but not outrageous for Perth where I’ve seen similar. Perth themed cups, mugs, and memorabilia were sold out despite the price. All other items were on shelves, full.
Large indoor and decent outdoor space, easy to navigate drive through. Well spaced parking lot. Handicap parking. Very accessible.
This is a global franchise. It feels like one, functions like one, and is consistent like one. All to be expected. For the team’s first few days in Perth they seemed pretty on top of things. Great work!
It was a bit of a drive for us, so we won’t be back soon, but recommend...
Read moreMost probably the worst Starbucks experience i have ever experienced. Decided to walk in as the drive thru line was quite long, I ordered 1 coffee for myself and began waiting. I think about 5-6 people were served after me and then one by one each person eventually got their drink before me. I ended up having to ask what was going on as 23 minutes had passed and I was getting very frustrated. When I asked what was going on the staff member responded “we’re so back logged and understaffed today” i said “yes that’s completely fine but everyone served before me have all got their drinks” and she rudely says “ yes as I said were understaffed today” and then began to make my drink in a rush. 25 minutes later I finally get my coffee which was $9.90 for a grande might I add and it is so bad and not even what I ordered. I didn’t say anything as it had already been to long so I left. I’d also recommend sorting out the fly issue in store as there were so many flies buzzing around the counter where the food and drinks get rudely yelled out for customers to collect. Will not be returning at all, Muzz Buzz and Zarraffas are 100% a more customer friendly, efficient and hygienic experience...
