First time at Noot's Thai. Decided to check it out after work at 530pm. It was fairly packed inside with only a few seats left, but i was seated straight away, I knew what I wanted already and ordered thai red curry with chicken and chicken pad thai. Within 5 minutes, my food came out, was super hungry so I couldn't be any happier at this point, especially coming home from work. The food was absolutely delicious. Pad thai was very flavoursome, very generous serving size. Red curry was amazing, plenty of crunchy bamboo shoots (my favourite). Wasn't too spicy but there is an option to add their authentic thai chillis if you wanted it to be spicier, which is apparently super hot! 10/10. The only downside was some noodles being slightly undercooked, but other than that compliments to the chef (only wish i said this to the owner in person, she was on the main floor and cooking!). Amazing authentic thai food, really friendly staff and will...
Read moreSo far we have tried green curry with chicken, red curry with chicken, stir fiend chilli and basil with beef, and massaman curry (with beef). The flavours are amazing. The first time I called them, the lady was quite worried about the spiciness and warned me that it is quite spicy. She offered me a scale from 1 to 5 to rate the require spiciness. I admire them for doing this because eventually customers will have a good understanding on how to order the first with required spiciness. So far we have tried spiciness ratings 2, 3, and 5. Spiciness has been consistent with the ratings. I hope they keep up with the spiciness to attract broad range of customers and I hope they never bring the overall spiciness down in favour of being "mainstream". This Thai place is undoubtedly one of the best Thai places I have been to-date. The portions are quite generous too. I would have given one more star for adopting the latest CommBank Albert...
Read moreThe staff are very pleasant and it is a cosy little place to have a casual meal. I accept that lots of other people clearly enjoy this food based on the number of positive reviews - this is why we went. However, the food here is definitely not Thai food. The Pad Thai is sugary sweet and absolutely plastered in sauce - it is not Pad Thai. What is likely an attempt at Pad Krapow (it’s worrying that the staff did not know what Pad Krapow was) is essentially an oyster sauce stir fry with a few basil leaves thrown in - it is not Pad Krapow. And the red curry is also sickly sweet, with an odd combination of vegetables (including cauliflower) - it is not red curry. The cuisine seems to be an odd fusion of Chinese food and Thai food and dessert (owing to the excessive amounts of sugar in everything). If you want Thai food, I strongly suggest going elsewhere. If you want large portions of Thai-esque (but not really) food - this...
