Purchase restrictions are unfortunately in place due to the over Zealous and questionable actions of the States liquor Comissioner and Government which are obviously Racist in their directive. Otherwise , a great outlet for the purchase of your favourite flavours with wide ranging choices for the most discerning palate With prices cheaper than ADELAIDE .Buy here before venturing further north as you wont get these prices ANYWHERE UP THERE!

The Opal inn bistro provides for great menu choices of fresh to order cooked food varieties. This is great Pub food at reasonable prices in a fresh new look dining room with Wide screen T.Vs offering News, entertainment and sport. Service is friendly with little or no waiting times. A well trained kitchen delivering perfectly cooked steaks to order, Although a little small for the price tag. Fresh vegetables need to be offered instead of pre frozen straw chips . Hence the mention in my review of them. All over , an enjoyable Pub dinner with out the "Fine dining" sought by some punters. Garlic bread $ 10. Should be free. Av cost for three non alchohol drinkers and one that had 2 stouts with only main courses and garlic bread ×2, and 3 soft drinks was au $235.00. So you can make up your own mind. Plenty of parking and I see from other reviewers that there is a house guest incentive offered to keep the price down. The locals would also benefit from such an arrangement. Gaming ( Poker machines) which is not really true Gaming are available for those wishing to test their luck at this proven , futile government endorsed blood sucking, community wrecking theft. Accomodation blocks are very old but resurected, have not recently viewed the interiors so am unsure of how they appear inside now days.Also a caravan park is on offer for those needing the security of a fenced in camp. I have travelled between Adelaide and Alice Springs many many times for work and have always had the privilege to pop in at the main bar at the Opal Inn for a ale or two. What has made my experience fantastic (5 Star) rather than good have been the staff. Without a doubt the hospitality and kindness from both Rika and Mhely was amazing. They are both are an asset to any hospitality based business and I hope to see them both on my next visit 👍👌 Besides the amazing staff, the food was great and in this part of the world.. good...

First time using saloon bar, you recieve a discount is you stay at the hotel/ caravan park, staff were friend, but there was an error on my food order which was disappointing, I didnt ask for my reciept so didnt check that the food order was rung through correctly. Ordered starter and then 2 mains so i believed but recieved a starter, then came out a main and another starter as the main dish had a starter version.
