I'd like to revise my review following a recent visit.
I was out-voted when deciding on a place for dinner recently and ended up at this restaurant that I swore never to visit again. However, I must say they've resolved all the issues I had previously complained about.
I enjoyed my dinner. Service was reasonably quick. My meal of noodles looked, smelt and tasted good.
Rather than add a new review, I thought I should revise the previous rating upwards to 4 stars instead. I'll leave my previous review below for a historical record to show that they've made a huge effort and have improved to being a place that I would be glad to visit again.
Is there a zero star rating?
3 of us arrived at 7pm and ordered almost immediately. About 10 minutes later, one item arrived. 2 of us sat and watched while 1 ate. Another 15 minutes passed. We tried waving several times to get the attention of staff. When one finally came, she said she'll check. Another 10 minutes passed. We flagged down another waitress. She said they have to be fair and distribute the service equally between all tables. Meanwhile, 2 other tables around us who arrived up to 15 minutes after us but ordered only 1 dish have had theirs served, eaten and were ready to leave. We sat for another 10 minutes watching my father-in-law finsh his now cold noodles. 8pm... still no sign of our food.
Looking around at other tables that had ordered more than 1 item, it is true they were "fair". Each table had someone eating while the rest sat and stared, trying not to look too hungry.
Another thing... staff need more spatial awareness. Squeezing hastily behind 2 customers with a bowl of hot soup is a setup for disaster. And they need to learn not to pass hot food over the heads...
Read moreHorrible experience. I don't usually leave any reviews on google but the experience my friend and I had was just BELOW 1 STAR. I was initially so excited to visit the place as a uni student. My friend and I both ordered the food at the same time. My food came 30 minutes after the order and I had to awkwardly eat as my friend watched me. 30 minutes went by and the food still hadn't come. We notified the waiter multiple times as my friend was already starving at that point. Food finally came nearly an hour after we ordered and IT WAS THE WRONG ORDER. They didn't apologise at all and the correct order took another 20 minutes to come. You won't believe it, but it was still the wrong order! at that point, we didn't even bother to let the waiter know that it was the wrong order. Simply unbelievable. We were tolerant as we thought the restaurant just started and the staff were untrained.
We decided to go back and give it another try, again, disappointed. ordered the tofu dish and the tofu was off. food took another 30 minutes to come.
mediocre food was definitely not worth our money and time at all. Can definitely find better service ELSE WHERE. will NOT be returning.
Management and staff communication were a...
Read moreMy friend and I have gone here about three times, and have enjoyed the food.
However, a few days ago when we went we ordered the vegetable fried noodles and fried chicken. Our order was massively screwed up. First, we were given suspicious noodles, which we weren’t sure what was in it, but all staff seemed overworked and busy so we didn’t ask. About 20 mins later, the fried chicken comes, however it is raw.
I’ve never been served raw chicken before at a restaurant so we were both quite shocked and disgusted. When I spoke with the manager, he was very defensive and blamed the raw chicken on a new guy they hired. And when I brought up the noodles, he blamed us and pointed to the receipt saying we ordered the wrong one- which must have been a result of some miscommunication as we definitely ordered the vegetables noodles.
The entire experience was super unfortunate. My friend was freaking out as she cant eat pork, and is going to be sick, and the manager took no responsibility.
In the end we were given a refund for the chicken, and half off the noodles. For some reason that was the “best”...
