This was the perfect place to have lunch on a cold rainy day. There's plenty of under cover parking to get to this restaurant and you won't get wet from the rain walking to and from. I wanted sometthing warm, soupy and comforting - this was it. My friend and I arrived at 11:30am which was perfect, still plenty of seats before the lunch rush once we left. For two people, you grab a menu and take a seat at the table. When ready, order and pay at the counter. Like any noodler place, self serve water/hot jasmine tea and condiments. I ordered the Braised Beef Brisket & Tomatoes Rice Noodle Soup. Omgosh, the brisket was so tender and not grizzly at all. The soup base was tomato-y but still tasted very savoury and the baby bok choy was thrown on raw but once you 'dunk' it into the hot soup, it'll be ready to eat in a few minutes. It's a decent sized bowl of noodlers and generous with the pieces of brisket. If you're not a big eater, you could share and order something else to try.

My first time at this outlet for lunch. The xiao long pao is certainly one of the better ones in Perth as the skin was thin enough although the pao should be a tad smaller for a one-bite dish. A missing component is vinegar/shredded ginger, a key component to balance the porky broth. The fried chicken has nice crunch and juicy inside; it is however under-seasoned so when dipped into the sweet sauce, the balance was tipped toward sweet too much without the counter savory taste. The wonton soup has a nice balance of ingredients - I was looking forward to the claimed pork bone broth but I coudnt taste it; as a result the soup lacks depth in flavour and was rather ordinary. Wonton itself is fine and average. Setting was nice and spacious (could do with a refresh though), food delivered quickly and staff was friendly. I will probably come back to try other dishes but unlikely to order the same ones.

⁣It's quite crowded when we arrived. There's about 6-7 groups ahead of us queuing to order. Fried chicken is perfectly deep-fried and crispy. The fried rice portion was enormous. It can serve up to 5 people. Although I'm a little disappointed by the salted fish. The vegetable was mediocre, with just a hint of saltiness. The pan-fried dumpling was average. They weren't pan-fried long enough, and the dumpling has very little juice. ⁣ ⁣ Hot and sour soup was “meh”. Tasted quite a fair bit of vinegar. Braised beef brisket was okay, it’s soft actually. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐓𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥 $𝟕𝟑

I'd like to revise my review following a recent visit.

I was out-voted when deciding on a place for dinner recently and ended up at this restaurant that I swore never to visit again. However, I must say they've resolved all the issues I had previously complained about.

I enjoyed my dinner. Service was reasonably quick. My meal of noodles looked, smelt and tasted good.

Rather than add a new review, I thought I should revise the previous rating upwards to 4 stars instead. I'll leave my previous review below for a historical record to show that they've made a huge effort and have improved to being a place that I would be glad to visit again.

Is there a zero star rating?

3 of us arrived at 7pm and ordered almost immediately. About 10 minutes later, one item arrived. 2 of us sat and watched while 1 ate. Another 15 minutes passed. We tried waving several times to get the attention of staff. When one finally came, she said she'll check. Another 10 minutes passed. We flagged down another waitress. She said they have to be fair and distribute the service equally between all tables. Meanwhile, 2 other tables around us who arrived up to 15 minutes after us but ordered only 1 dish have had theirs served, eaten and were ready to leave. We sat for another 10 minutes watching my father-in-law finsh his now cold noodles. 8pm... still no sign of our food.

Looking around at other tables that had ordered more than 1 item, it is true they were "fair". Each table had someone eating while the rest sat and stared, trying not to look too hungry.

Another thing... staff need more spatial awareness. Squeezing hastily behind 2 customers with a bowl of hot soup is a setup for disaster. And they need to learn not to pass hot food over the heads...

Horrible experience. I don't usually leave any reviews on google but the experience my friend and I had was just BELOW 1 STAR. I was initially so excited to visit the place as a uni student. My friend and I both ordered the food at the same time. My food came 30 minutes after the order and I had to awkwardly eat as my friend watched me. 30 minutes went by and the food still hadn't come. We notified the waiter multiple times as my friend was already starving at that point. Food finally came nearly an hour after we ordered and IT WAS THE WRONG ORDER. They didn't apologise at all and the correct order took another 20 minutes to come. You won't believe it, but it was still the wrong order! at that point, we didn't even bother to let the waiter know that it was the wrong order. Simply unbelievable. We were tolerant as we thought the restaurant just started and the staff were untrained.

We decided to go back and give it another try, again, disappointed. ordered the tofu dish and the tofu was off. food took another 30 minutes to come.

mediocre food was definitely not worth our money and time at all. Can definitely find better service ELSE WHERE. will NOT be returning.

My friend and I have gone here about three times, and have enjoyed the food.

However, a few days ago when we went we ordered the vegetable fried noodles and fried chicken. Our order was massively screwed up. First, we were given suspicious noodles, which we weren’t sure what was in it, but all staff seemed overworked and busy so we didn’t ask. About 20 mins later, the fried chicken comes, however it is raw.

I’ve never been served raw chicken before at a restaurant so we were both quite shocked and disgusted. When I spoke with the manager, he was very defensive and blamed the raw chicken on a new guy they hired. And when I brought up the noodles, he blamed us and pointed to the receipt saying we ordered the wrong one- which must have been a result of some miscommunication as we definitely ordered the vegetables noodles.

The entire experience was super unfortunate. My friend was freaking out as she cant eat pork, and is going to be sick, and the manager took no responsibility.

In the end we were given a refund for the chicken, and half off the noodles. For some reason that was the “best”...
