Authentic, homely beef hor fun! The bowl was piping hot and humongous! Generous slices of beef and a wonderful wok hei/ char on the noodles adding a savoury bite to each strand. The sliced chilis were tangy with vinegar and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. You can tell they take pride in their food and make it fresh. Customer service was terrible, the place was pretty grungy and sad looking, but I will take all that as long as the food is good! Unfortunately I was bitterly disappointed. My fried kway teow was the worst I have had in Perth... the prawns and squid pieces were like rubber and tasteless. The noodles were just completely wrong in a bad way and there was very little flavour. It was also very pricey compared to other kway teow outlets that actually taste decent and treat you better. Without a doubt DEFINITELY NOT GOOD VALUE for money unless you like noodles because that’s 95% of what’s in the dishes very little in the way of beef or seafood or vegetables in the two dishes we had, flavour was passable just, but if you want a more substantial nutritious value for money meal you’d be very wise to avoid. It is honestly only noodles, Penang village for in Victoria Park so so much better. The photos posted of their dishes inside and outside this shop are a gross misrepresentation of what you get!
