"Ooh La La"

From the moment we stepped through the unassuming entrance of this charming establishment nestled in Crawley, we knew we were in for something special. What appeared to be a quaint French café from the outside quickly unfolded into a mesmerizing culinary haven as we ventured deeper inside. The ambiance enveloped us like a warm embrace, reminiscent of what it would feel like stepping into La Tour d'Argent

As we were greeted by the joyful hostess, her welcoming demeanour set the tone for the evening ahead. Every staff member we encountered exuded a genuine sense of hospitality, making us feel truly appreciated as guests.

The attention to detail in every aspect of the restaurant was impeccable. From the carefully curated French art adorning the walls to the meticulously chosen font on the menu, it was evident that every decision had been made with precision and care. The bakery, where the aroma of freshly baked croissants wafted through the air, added an extra layer of authenticity to the experience.

Perusing the menu, we were delighted by the diverse selection of offerings, catering to every palate. From succulent beef flank steak with shallots sauce to delicate green bean bacon bundles, each dish was a masterpiece in its own right. The presentation was nothing short of spectacular, reminiscent of the meticulous craftsmanship required to build a ship in a bottle.

When it came to selecting a wine to accompany our meal, we found ourselves spoiled for choice. Unable to decide, we entrusted our choice to the knowledgeable host, who expertly paired a wine that perfectly complemented our selections.

As we savoured each bite and sip, it was evident that we were experiencing something truly extraordinary. The flavours danced on our palates, transporting us to the bustling streets of France with every mouthful.

As we reluctantly bid farewell to this culinary oasis, we were overwhelmed by the genuine appreciation expressed by the entire staff. It was clear that they were not simply in the business of serving food but creating unforgettable experiences for their guests.

This newly opened boulangerie-café-bistro in Crawley, is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. From the moment you step through the door until the moment you reluctantly depart, every aspect of the experience is a testament to the passion and dedication of those behind it. We eagerly await our next visit to once again indulge in the magic of this extraordinary...

Venue: a few carparks in the front or fee payable street parking in the daytime. Café by day. Simple decor with something French. French music. Relaxing atomphere. Bistro by night (different setting) at the rear. Need to make reservations for dinner. --- 7.4/10 Service: café is not busy on weekdays. One asian looking staff at the front desk. Chilled tap water and menu were given when we sat down. No beverage menu. Order and pay at the front desk. Resonable waiting time for food. The only one server can speak French. He seems unhappy to serve when the customers could speak french - he stayed back. Not so friendly. But, he handled food and drinks carefully. --- 7.2/10 F&B: authentic French food. Good presentation. normal portion. Resonable prices. Lunch was good. I'm expecting next dinner. Duck à l'orange served with roasted baby potatos and baby carrots, $29: meat was tender. Orange sauce was good. Some of the tiny caramelized potato cubes were overcooked - very bitter. --- 7.7/10 Lunch Special, Chicken & Pistachio Terrine with Toast, $13: 4 crispy toasts. --- 7.5/10 Hot Latte Hot Chocolate

Takeaway: Pain Au Chocolat, $6.5, Croissant Aux Amandes, $7.5 Millie Feuille, $8 Crispy. Still very good....

“Something French on Broadway” has quickly become my go-to spot for breakfast, and for good reason! The food here is consistently delicious, and I always look forward to starting my day with their incredible offerings. Their toast with avocado and scrambled eggs paired with sautéed mushrooms is an absolute standout. Every bite is bursting with flavor, and it’s clear that fresh ingredients are a priority.

Another thing that keeps me coming back is their strong, well-brewed coffee, which perfectly complements the breakfast. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or just need a good morning pick-me-up, they’ve got you covered.

The service here is always top-notch as well. Meddie, in particular, goes out of her way to ensure that every guest has a great experience, which really elevates the warm and welcoming atmosphere...
