If this review was based upon the staff - it would be glowing, no complaints there. ||The stay however, was not enjoyable for a few reasons:|- The car park is a problem waiting to happen. The lack of defined parks allows anyone to park anywhere, potentially obstructing other cars. We had a lot of random car doors slammed right in front of our room, which brings me to my next point...|- The walls are basically paper-thin. We could hear the guy next door to us snoring as if he was in bed with us, conversations from the other wall sounded like they were happening in the room, and our post-travel sleep-in was disrupted by a 6am shower next door, which managed to drown out the sound of our whiny fridge!!|- The best part about the room visually was the modern bed-head, and that's it. The painted brick, and old vertical blinds gave me classroom vibes. And the kmart accessories/furnishings screamed 'budget' (the furniture assembly stickers hadn't even been removed!) ||I know it's not marketed as the fanciest place in Devonport, but some pride wouldn't go astray either. Neither would powerpoints next to the bed (you know, for convenience) or some kind of soundproofing!! I feel for our neighbours who MUST'VE had to endure the trashy TV we...
Read moreWe knew this was budget accommodation and weren't expecting anything fancy, but we did expect to get a good nights sleep. Boy, how wrong we were. We were put right next to the laundry room, so with paper thin walls we had washing machines and dryers going all night on one side and a group of extremely loud people on the other side. With one shared outdoor area - right out the front next to the cars, we could hear every word the group said (sounded more like yelling) and we could smell their cigarette smoke coming in under the door. We ended up having to bunch up the towels and shove them under the huge gap below the door, although this didn't really seem to help. When they finally went to bed we could continue to hear them talking and every move they made.||The car park is a nighmare, there are no designated spaces so people were parking anywehere and everywhere, and came and went all night long. We could hear car doors slammed out the front of our room every hour.||||The inside was nicer than expected, but with no powerpoint next to the bed, a rock hard bed and the buzzing fridge were all very annoying.||Would never stay here again, and would recommend you...
