Always been a favourite place to enjoy a meal. However I was disappointed tonight with my main but more disappointed in how it was handled. The questions fired back at me on why I couldn’t eat it shocked me. I’ve worked in kitchens as wait staff and kitchen hand and if a customer returns a plate with food left on it and says they didn’t enjoy it and the reason was validated then without hesitation the customer should be compensated. First I had to wait for management to come and see me as kitchen staff aren’t allowed to make any calls, i then watched kitchen staff playing with the steak. I had asked for medium well and received medium rare and although i didn't mind it was the fact i couldn't cut through most of it. I ate 3 or 4 small squares from the middle. For staff to treat you with no empathy or take any blame for it is what grinded my gears. The manager didn't even take the time to acknowledge my complaint let alone apologise. I was told all they could do was take 10% off. I eat out all the time and have never been treated like that with a meal that I couldn’t eat. Not...

What an extreme disappointment :( My husband chose the $40 seafood platter . 6 cocktail prawns suspend of a bowl of thin tasteless seafood sauce , a piece of prepackaged battered barramundi a small handful of over cooked crumbed seafood package again and a scattering of chips with a small bowl of chopped up salad . I myself chose the Irish Stew , and to be honest Pattie himself would be disgusted. It was presented with a small spoonful of lumpy potato hidden under a warm roll. As for the stew it was undercooked as the root vegetables were hard and inedible . Not to mention we was in a quite booth section, when another loud and rough group was seated near us and we was entertained with vulgarity our entire meal. There was quite a lot of spare tables in the main areas they could have been seated but the waitress selected us to enjoy their company. All in all easy to say I will never be returning to a once reasonable establishment. I would not even rate them...

Ehhhh not upset just disappointed, first of all got a proper Guinness so that was good. Other beer options were below average. Food was pretty poor, mate for the chorizo past which seemed to have more seafood in it than my seafood platter. Seafood skewer that had most of the options of actual seafood on it which had a single prawn, a small chunk of cooked salmon and a scollop. Like when I see “prawns” as a plural written out I expect more than a single prawn. Garden salad looked like it was a small handful from a Wolloes mixed bag of greens with a single cherry tomato cut in half and placed ontop. The seafood cake was the only thing I left and just not pleasant... it’s a shame seems like a cool place but I would not eat here again in a hurry. The burgers and schnitzel looked good and I probably ordered the wrong thing but if you don’t make something well take it off your menu so others don’t fall into the same...

We stopped in here for a quick pint and a snack. I had a pint of Guinness and it was the best poured Guinness I’ve had in years, so creamy and delicious. For eats we shared the Nachos, omg again the best Nachos we’ve had in years, really well made, plenty of ingredients and properly baked in the oven so nice and hot. Way better than I’ve had in melb for a long time. Keep up the work guys. Update: we stopped in again at the end of our two week Tassie holiday before we boarded the Spirit of Tasmanian. I have to say the Guinness here was the best I had on our entire trip, even better than at Salamanca. Had to have the nachos again and also the Cesar Salad with chicken. Guys keep up the great work and we will be definitely back when we return to travel the west coast, until then 😘.

I went the first night and had the salmon and it was amazing 👏. Loved every bit of it. I went back today in hopes the feather and sea was on the menu and i was in luck so I had that for lunch and I was not disappointed. Waited over 5 min to be seated today with bar staff noticing I was standing there so I went to the bar to ask if I could be seated (there is a sign please wait to be seated). On both occasions I had to go to bar to ask if that's where I payed my bill after waiting at my table for a lengthy time. No other complaints, food outstanding, pub is lovely and welcoming. Put it on your list to try.

We went for dinner, I ordered a fisherman's basket and it was huge. Everything was cooked to perfection, the fish was coated in the lightest beer batter, the sea scallops were full scallops, the salt n pepper calamari were perfectly seasoned, the prawns were great and so were the chips. There was so much I had to leave some chips and all of the salad (I rarely leave food). This was the best fisherman's basket I have ever had eating out. I'm just sad we head back to the mainland tomorrow because I would have gone there again.
