Visited mid-week. We walked around the whole of Devonport centre and could find nowhere open for lunch. It was like a ghost town! We were about to give up and head back to the car along the water when I spotted this place. The whole menu looked really good. We couldn't decide what to have so shared 2 dishes: the king prawn salad and the Korean burger. The chips were really tasty. The chicken salt they used was the best I've ever tasted (being from the UK I wasn't sure what the fuss was about it until I tried this one). The salad was unusual but the flavours went well together and there was enough sauce but it didn't overpower everything else. I thought the prices were very decent considering the quality of the food and presentation. The view across the water was excellent and the location was quiet...

My wife and I have a 8 year relationship with Leigh, Wendy and their Harbour Master Cafe. I worked with Wendy for many years. What they have achieved in jumping millions of hurdles to receive approval to establish this business is mind boggling! Hopefully the powers to be of The Living City Development will have wisdom and allow this business to keep on delivering fantastic food, fantastic coffee and stunning views of The Mersey River, The Ships in Port, watersports and the most relaxing atmosphere a cafe can have due to super friendly and professional staff. You have to support The Harbour Master Cafe when you are a local and a visitor too! Support their survival as a family business too! Absolutely worthwhile in...

Nearly 1 hour, only 4 people in the cafe and nothing to show. What a waste of our time this morning, with only one other couple dining, who left just after we arrived. We ordered our breakfast meals on arrival, we wait and wait and wait, nothing. After more than half an hour my wife asked where our breakfast meals are, to be told a by the staff " I just heard a bell ding, staff comment "that will be yours" NOPE WRONG, still nothing to show. A customer walks in more than 50 minutes after us, then receives their meal within 10 minutes, her meal just happens to be the same as what I ordered, I fine that very odd and a complete stuff up. Seriously to the owner of the " Harbormaster Cafe, if this keeps up, you'll have to...

Wow. The consistency of this cafe is unreal. Have been here multiple times over the past few years, but moved to Adelaide and haven’t been for a while. We came back for their Father’s Day bookings this year; had their beef brisket eggs, and it was one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The rest our table also thoroughly enjoyed the food, including the chilli eggs. They always have great service, quick with their food and drinks, and a great selection that caters to all dietary requirements. The view is beautiful to top it all off. Highly highly recommend. Best cafe on the north west coast by far !

The old original harbour master building converted in to a cheery light filled airy restaurant . Sitting next to train tracks overlooking the river and the spirit of Tasmania . You can sit inside or outside .Great views of boats, tugs and yachts sailing by at almost arms reach . Lots of activity to see on the water. Food was exceptional and beautifully presented . Licenced . It was a Sunday and you're probably best to book in advance . Highly recommend

Nice warm morning heat radiating thru the big glass windows. Calm and peaceful waterfront. Food is great. The lime milkshake is average, which could be stronger in its citrusy flavor and served colder. Steak sandwich was good - 4.5 out of 5. Korean Fried Chicken burger was ok - 3.5 of 5. Chicken could have been crispier to give it more contrast in texture from the bun and coleslaw, and the gochujang sauce a tad more spicy.
