Charnies Noodle and Dumplings — Restaurant in District of Belconnen

0 stars !!! After years of using this restaurant, i didn't receive crispy chicken wings and spending $60 tonight, "again" ....the chicken was inedible!....I offered to return it as it was indelible, saying that I do not want money back just a replacement....to be told NO.

I asked for it another time if it was inconvenient to come tonight, listened to them carry on over the phone about me just wanting free food and that I'm full of it.....not words used!!

Then said item was cooked so you get $5 discount when the meal was nearly $20 ... I never asked for a refund I just wanted the meal that my children had asked for!

Never will I use this disgusting service restaurant again due to the atrocious service and conversation about me - the customer in ear...

Unfortunately the food was very disappointing, the honey king prawns had so much batter on them which wasn’t cooked properly so it was basically like eating raw flour, the batter was grey on the inside. The lemon chicken was overcooked and tough but at least the batter on it was a bit better. The fried rice was pretty bland as was the beef and cashew nuts but they were edible. Delivery time and cost reasonable but they just rang the doorbell and left the food on the ground. Sorry to leave a negative review but I hope this helps...

They cook in canola oil. Husband and wife team. The husband is from Hong Kong, and the wife is from Malyasia. So, the menu is a blend of Cantonese & Malaysian dishes. This place has come along way since its early days, and they seem like they are in here for the long haul. The restaurant was renovated about 6 years ago, the bain marie was taken out, and it is now a much more inviting place to dine in than it used to be. In May 2023, the kitchen had a big renovation & upgrade. One probably can’t get any more Charny...
