La Casetta Pizza And Pasta Bar — Restaurant in District of Belconnen

Food has been consistently good. Serving size for the gnocchi is considerably smaller than the other pastas, which is a bit odd. We've only ever had delivery, had a few of the pastas, pizzas and the lamb shank and parmi...all have been pretty good. Nothing outstanding, but tasty. Bit expensive.

The main issue - their customer service needs work. We had an item missing last night, I called the store to discuss. They said they couldn't send another one but next time we could have a free item. I said no thanks, just refund it. They said they couldn't refund. This went back and forth a bit, then the person said they would call me back, which they never did. It was quite a confusing call, especially when the person said that they gave all the items to the delivery driver in a bit of an accusatory way - yes, understand that the store may have done that, but the driver didn't drop off one thing. When you try and raise the issue with Door Dash (which it appears their delivery goes through even though I ordered off their website) they say to contact the store 🤷🏼‍♀️ unsure if we'll order delivery...

Our social group booked La Casetta, and the attendees were a few more than expected. The front of house team dealt with the increase efficiently and were very friendly. The restaurant was busy with other diners and takeaways, but everything seemed professional, in a laidback way for a cute local trattoria.

The menu is extensive but not overdone, and hit the classics - pizzas, pasta, gnocchi all show up, with mains offering a good selection (veal three ways!). I had arancini for entree (cooked to perfection with peas and stringy mozzarella), veal saltimbocca for mains (well balanced soft meat with a silky butter sage sauce) and although I’d decided on my dessert, we had a friend’s birthday cake instead.

The only issue (not a complaint) was the temperature of the food… everything could have been a bit hotter. But it was a busy night, and the atmosphere was convivial with staff on hand for everything we asked for. Will...

This place is hands down one of the best pizza spots I’ve ever been to! The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy inside. The toppings tasted so fresh, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The cheese melted beautifully and had just the right stretch, while the sauce had that perfect balance of tangy and savory.

On top of the amazing food, the service was excellent—friendly staff who made us feel welcome right away and checked in often without being overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it great for both a casual night out or a family dinner.

If you’re a true pizza lover, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming...
