I've been coming to Knead for three years and loving it. Even after moving to a different location in Canberra I've gone out of my way to go to Knead. Not anymore. It pains me to have to leave this negative review about my once favourite cafe! Today, we were there around 11am. Several people working there, but not one greeted us nor looked is in the face. The teenagers behind the counter looked like they just rolled out of bed and couldn't care less, I had to go out of my way as did another patron, to get their attention and make my order. The woman with tattoos and piercings looked completely unprofessional. In my day of working in cafes, you couldn't show up with short shorts and body piercings everywhere. Then she went outside, played with someone's dog and went back in to handle customers' food without washing! Turned my stomach. My order was lost, the teenager with the hair in his eyes botched it, and then I had to ask another employee to get my pizza and my coffee again!!!!! Then the pizza was greasy and just not up to standard. I was just so disappointed overall with the lack of service and food. $17 badly spent dollars. Ever since Knead moved to this new location it's been going downhill. But that corresponds with all the new staff too. I won't be coming...
Read moreOrdered the almond croissant and coffee today as usual but after 20 mins waiting realised the coffee may be missed. I went back and asked very politely to see if they have put the order in but the guy (staff) took my order jumped in the conversation straightly and and said he did not hear it and only charged me the croissant with a not friendly face. I did not want to make it a difficult situation and stall other customers and they girl (staff) was asking me was smiling and asking me what coffee I would like, so I still ordered the coffee and did not say anything back. I wish there is a camera that can show the guy I did said the coffee and I normally didn’t paid attention about how much I paid when I order coffee here as I come here regularly. I understand it was busy and sometimes people can’t always focus on what others said but at least maybe something like “maybe I missed what you said” before saying how much money you charged. I keep coming back to your store because I love the food and service but today it was really a...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped here for lunch while visiting the Fresh Food Markets in Belconnen, A.C.T. We each ordered a ham, tomato and gruyere cheese quiche, a flat white coffee, and shared a raspberry and white chocolate cupcake. The total cost was $28. The quiche was extremely good and the taste of the cheese really came through. Our coffees were great. They could have been a little hotter, but we understand why they weren't. The highlight, though was the cupcake. It was absolutely divine. On top of all this, the service was very efficient and friendly, and the waiting time was very short. Also, we were supplied with real knives and forks and good quality paper napkins. It was a real highlight of our stay in...
