Cosmorex- Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

I'd like to give them 5 stars from my experience. As I have moved in Canberra from China 7 years ago, I have different experience within ACT, both positively and negatively, both hospitality and living. There is barrier among people that I could say it very depends. However, I have such experience in this shop as a coffee machine owner who brought his 'faulty' Delonghi Magnifica for a fixing under warranty. I did not give such a comment on Google Map reviews usually, but I do this time for her.

The girl I had spoken before, she is patient with a really sufficient knowledge and experience with what she is doing, which provides me a such satisfaction that she is really good on her job and a person who put her passion within a coffee machine service centre. One of my best experiences as a customer within ACT.

At the end, I would like to say she deserves a raise. However, the machine was ready and I did not receive any notice or message which is also disappointing. Therefore, 4 stars then. :)

Perhaps my name is hard to pronounce and no one was willing to call haha.

Maybe I over acted and commented on this whole experience but it is true about what I thought in my mind...

Sunbeam asked me to drop my espresso machine at Cosmorex for a warranty repair. Sunbeam said it should have taken no more than 2 weeks to repair. Over 6 weeks later, it's ready to be picked up. During that time Sunbeam told me Cosmorex had full authority to repair but Cosmorex said they didn't, someone was lying. One of the many times I called Cosmorex a staff member said it's common they let repairs stack up to reduce cost and admin of ordering parts needed. No communication from Cosmorex the whole time. When picking it up I asked if it was a complicated problem, lady said "no the collar just needed replacing". I said I was disappointed with my experience. She smiles at me and smugly wheezes, "have a nice day" and walked off. I'm writing this review 2 months after the event, the problem I had is resolved but machine makes strange sounds when pouring now. Will just put up with it so I don't have to deal with...

TL;DR Good beans, unpretentious coffee advice, good to bad coffee at their cafe. Beans highly recomended.

I have been enjoying Cosmerex coffee beans for the last few years, they have a large selection of beans available, pretty much a flavour profile for everyone (I use "Nitro") If you dont know what you're looking for I have found the staff to be very straight forward (unpretentious) in the explanation of how you would expect the different beans to taste. I've never been made to feel like I'm some sort of idiot for not knowing about coffee or not having a fancy coffee machine, as I have had in other places. The coffee in their cafe is generally good, service is always quick and friendly, but I recently had a takeaway coffee that was almost undrinkable. I'll give them another chance to see if it was a one...
