Its rare that you come across staff that have reached this level of miserable within their employment. But these guys don't do things in halves, as I was left to wonder whether I'd missed the burrito being handed to me the miserable lass retreated to the back den and promptly slumped in a chair to text frantically - not even out of sight. I spotted the dismal alfoil lump on the sandwich press and assumed thats where my food had gotten to. An equally as frog mouthed misery handed me the dripping mess, leaving me sitting at a table stumped as to how to unwrap it without leaving a disaster in my wake - but alas I realised who would be cleaning it up and promptly cheered up. Mad Mex Canberra is hands down one of the best food spots in the city. Every time I go, the food hits perfectly — fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and that perfect balance between tasty and healthy. Quality ingredients make this burrito a tasty lunch time treat. Pictured is a 'regular' burrito (chicken, spicy salsa) at $11.50 with $2 for guacamole. The 600ml solo brought the meal to $17.50 so a bit more than average for a quick lunch time meal.

If you're up for it - Mad Mex sells beer to wash your meal down with though avoid your boss for a while on your return to work I suppose!

Having said that, Mad Mex has its own small dine in area with traditional Mexican music being piped throughout.

The staff, as others have said, tend to focus on production than service but it isn't a big issue.
