This was my first time dining at No.8 Thai in Griffith, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience—both in terms of food safety and customer service. At first, the food seemed fine, and we even took photos. However, as we were nearly finished with the fish, we discovered a metal brush bristle hidden in it. This could have been extremely dangerous if swallowed. When we reported the issue to the staff, instead of taking responsibility, they shifted the blame, claiming they "just cook the fish." We refused to pay for the dish since the waitress only offered a half-hearted apology without any genuine concern. She even insinuated that we brought the metal bristle ourselves—an outrageous accusation. If there’s any doubt, they should check the CCTV footage. Additionally, the waitress messed up our order, further worsening the experience. The lack of accountability and dishonest attitude made this the worst customer service I’ve encountered in Canberra. We didn’t pay for the fish in the end, but what we really wanted was a sincere apology—not excuses or false accusations. Never dining here again.

Went to this Thai restaurant for dinner during the week. I ordered the Pad Thai. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the portion size was generous. My boyfriend got the fish dish, it was super fresh and the sauce had a great kick without overpowering the fish. Service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. To top it off the dessert was 10/10! We are coming back again to try some of the other dishes!

What a relaxing and personalised experience! BOY did catch me off guard, but the food was so good, I had to order double to take home for my husband. As I wasn't prepared to share my left overs. Hihly recommend Duck red curry with Lychee

We stopped here on the way back from skiing/snow at Perisher as it was only a 5 minute detour from the main road/highway back to Sydney (we didn't want another Maccas meal!). And it was PERFECT. Parking was super easy (and we had a trailer) but the best part was the service and food quality. We live very close to Thaitown in Sydney so we are used to a very high standard of Thai food and this was certainly up there. And the service was exceptional - we had 2 young kids and they were mindful they were hungry (and tired!) so they were very quick at getting our food out to placate our children plus generally very attentative and kind. Definitely will go back whenever we are passing through Canberra....

Not a great experience. Took a while to get our entrees, then they brought only my partner's dish and I am pretty sure they forgot about mine. Only after 5 minutes when I asked about my dish, the waitress chased the kitchen, another 5 minutes later I got my dish. No "I am sorry", just delivered the plates and went to see other customers. Food was ok, but again, nothing special. So overall, not a great experience... Which made me sad as I am all gor supporting local businesses... But would expect a...
