If you’re looking for a fantastic cafe on the south side of Canberra, you cannot go past the Sweet Little Cafe at the Griffith shops. Fantastic coffee and a variety of delicious cafe style food choices with amazing staff led by the owner Polly. Her recall of customer’s orders and conversations that she has had with them is amazing. I do not know how she does it, and am very envious of her abilities. There is a variety of seating available, from cosmopolitan style out on the street, where you can keep an eye on the local goings on, to various seating options inside the cafe. There is also an outdoor veranda area upstairs out in the back of the cafe that has a sunny aspect overlooking a local park. So look no further than the Sweet Little Cafe, it’s the sweetest spot in town and I think that you will be pleasantly surprised and quickly become a regular like myself.

We happened across Sweet Little Cafe by chance on our hunt for a different breakfast spot, and thought we would give it a go. Although we only had Eggs Bene and a Breakfast Wrap with coffee, the food was absolutely delicious, the Coffee was great. The decor is eclectic with a mish mash of furniture and art which adds to the ambiance of the indoor area located in an alcove. I would certainly recommend trying this establishment out as it is a hidden gem.

Not a good experience. Staff was a bit rude, looking at me and ask if I’m going to order or not. It was my first time in this place and reading the menu that’s why I’m taking my time. I’m always in Griffiths shops and I will avoid this cafe, there are cafes in area better than here.

Highly recommend. Food & service. Was near closing time. So only had chai in teapot & sweet slice. Finally! A cafe where people listen when I ask for strong chai & deliver. So many cafes shouldn’t have chai on their menu. Earlier that day another cafe served up 2 teabags in teapot as strong authentic chai. Insipid & nasty. Not to mention rude & rip-off. Here my chai came in a sweet little teapot, with sweet cup & teaspoon. Made with oat milk, as I asked for. Honey on the side. Delicious. I was told they used 3 teaspoons of chai to make it robust & only milk, no water. Slice, caramel & nutty, also tasted fresh & yummy. If I’m back in Griffith again, I’ll definitely return. This is a cafe deserves...

Over the past 3 or 4 months things have spiralled down hill. Sandwiches aren't as good as they use to be. Coffee is okay depending on who on ! Asked for a thick shake and received a large coffee sized cup with just milk and flavoring. The Straw that prompted this review is this morning I ordered an egg and bacon roll which has now gone up to $9 so was expecting at least the same delicious roll as times gone by but to my disbelief I got a roll with the smallest egg on it and a wafer thin strip of bacon???? Really ! This place won't be around long...
