I visited this morning for breakfast and was thoroughly disappointed. The hot chocolates lacked a proper chocolate flavor, and the French toast with “fresh berries” came with just one small strawberry—hardly what I’d call plural. The poached eggs were overcooked, and the French toast itself was bland and tasteless. When I shared my concerns, I was told they don’t use vanilla in their French toast recipe, which might explain the lack of flavour. Service was equally lackluster. We weren’t asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. When I raised the issue of the missing berries, I was told they were all frozen. Begrudgingly they supplied me with one more strawberry. When I came to pay, I was told I wasn’t charged for the “extra berries” (despite the menu description) and that the hot chocolate was “perfect” according to the server. Only a 10% discount was offered, which felt like a minimal acknowledgment of our disappointing experience. I even suggested they look up proper recipes for French toast to better understand preparation and the use of plural terms like “berries.” Unfortunately, we left dissatisfied and I didn’t finish my drink or meal. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on today’s experience.

We had an unforgettable dinner experience at this exquisite establishment! The ambiance was warm, cozy, and effortlessly classy, making it an ideal spot for a family dinner. As vegetarians, we were thrilled to discover quite a few plant-based options on both the pizza and pasta menus. The culinary highlights of our evening included the delicious warm bruschetta, the delectable fungi pizza, and the sublime vegetarian pizza. The macadamia spaghetti was a masterclass in texture and flavor. To complement our meal, we savored an array of expertly crafted mocktails that left us impressed. we also ordered a mango cheese cake which was amazing. What truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, attentive, and remarkably cordial, ensuring that every aspect of our dinner was nothing short of perfection. In short, this restaurant is a must-visit haven for pizza and pasta aficionados! Its winning combination of outstanding cuisine, elegant atmosphere, and exceptional service makes it an absolute gem. We can't wait to return!

Just finished brunch with my family. Service was appalling and food was sub par. Ate because we were hungry. Was told to take a seat and someone would take our orders. 20 minutes later I walked inside and ordered. 4 wait staff standing around near the counter. Should have left then. I ordered though. All food came out quickly but was fairly meh! I’ll use my meal as an example, see photos. It was supposed to be an Avo and feta smash. Avo, ginger, coriander and lime smash with crumbled feta on sourdough and two poached eggs. I ordered a side of bacon also. Avo was watery, no coriander or ginger and there was absolutely no feta on my plate. Bacon was swimming in oil. Wait staff moved at a snails pace and reach across meals to pass out further meals at a four person table. Steer clear and read further reviews.

Wait staff were extremely unhelpful. When going in was told we could chose between 2 tables not taken to tables by staff. Only 2 menus to share between the 3 of us. The table was extremely wobbly staff did nothing to rectify this. When it came to ordering drinks I had picked the passionfruit Martini which was on the door as you walk in, but was told I could not order it as it wasn't on the menu for the inexperienced waitstaff to pick from on their tablet. Then came to ordering the food, my daughter wanted the Italian meat feast without chirizo as she does not like anything too spicy this was told to the staff and she kept saying ok with no anchovies, there was no anchovies even on the pizza to begin with and had to explain this to her multiple times. Then I ordered a simple spaghetti bol, she had to have me point it out on the menu for her to find it. She then managed to order 2 of the other pasta we had asked for. When the pizza came out find it has a chilli based sauce on it, which the cooks were more then happy to change for us which was great and we could not fault the new pizza made would've been good to have been told by staff when saying our child won't eat spicy foods that it was a chilli based sauce to begin with. Finally i convicned the waitress that the passionfruit martini did infact exisit when she went out to check the door, when brought to me she goes ok here is the drink you wanted. By the way the passionfruit martini was absolutely amazing wouldve enjoyed 2 of them. When it came time to pay we were offered a summary recipt AFTER we paid which is when we found we were also charged for the mix up of the staff placing 2 orders of the prawn pasta so we did need to ask to be refunded for the pasta. All in all the food was amazing. It would've gone over better with a more competent waitstaff...

MUST TRY! Vanilla Pod in Kingston is a warm and welcoming restaurant with their impressive pastas, pizzas and food presented beautifully. Their menu is extensive with something for everyone to enjoy (lots of super delicious vegetarian dishes as well and was offered a custom made meal if i didnt want anything from the menu- that was so kind. Loved the dish from the menu though)- big thank you to the chef! The delicious drinks menu is equally impressive with hot, cold and alcohol beverages on offer. It was our first visit to V/Pod today and we would like to thank the lady who looked after us, you have a kind heart with 5star customer service 💕 thank you for making our dining experience a special one. We need more people like you. Indoor and outdoor tables are available. The fully covered (and heated/weather protective/airy space) outdoor dining area is just divine and very dog friendly🐶 and is close to telopea park for walks after your meal.V/pod is in a quiet area with lots of parking close by and shops in the precinct. They are one of the few places open for a late lunch in the area.Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available which is a big advantage compared to most other cafes/restaurant in the area.We HIGHLY recommend everyone to try V/pod you will be glad you did!!!💙 We will...

This used to be a great place to order from, although the food has been super underwhelming.

The pizza's come with less toppings, the pastas with less ingredients, and the value per meal is disappointing.

I recently ordered a meal including garlic bread, I received 3 small pieces of thin coated bread in garlic sauce. This cost $7.50... The chips are also cheaper and come with less chips (please bring back your old, thick chips).

The drinks are also disappointing, I've ordered their strawberry/berry mix smoothie, have never received it mixed well (though still tastes good). Chai lattes are super watery/not mixed well.

The food does arrive very fast but I feel like the restaurant should focus on the quality of their food instead. I understand when you have customers inside it can get pretty chaotic, but people at home have the ability to snack while the food is being prepared.

If you're reading this, could you please put stickers on the food containers or bags? I have found black hair in my food previously - I don't actually feel this was the restaurants fault though, delivery driver had the same exact hair.

Anyway, this place has a lot of potential, the food is awesome on the rare occasion. I just can't recommend it...
