Worst online purchasing experience ever. I bought a $1000 Ziggy bbq online, taking advantage of the free offers that were available, on 6 January. So far I've received 3 deliveries, all of which the courier has contacted me and asked me to be home for, that consisted of cleaning clothes, a scrubbing brush, some marinades, a cookbook and a pizza stone. The third delivery I was on my way to take my husband to the hospital for a rehab visit and I turned around to meet the courier for what I had hoped was my barbecue delivery, only to be handed a shoebox sized parcel containing barbecue cleaning products. We were late for his visit so thanks for that important delivery Barbecues Galore. When I ring today to ask where my barbecue is and when it will be delivered I get ummm, ahhh, not sure. Maybe there will be a couple delivered into the country next week - no guarantee that one of them will be mine though. Even when they're delivered they won't get to the Auburn warehouse until maybe Wednesday. Well that's useless because it's Australia Day and the warehouse will be closed. Mind you, I'd hoped to have the barbecue that I ordered 3 weeks ago to have some friends over but that won't happen. So, at the end of the umming and ahhing we concluded that I still wouldn't get my barbecue until at least the following week - IF one of the "couple" that were coming into the country was allocated to me. Freaking useless. I wish Barbecues Galore had provided an advice when ordered that a. it wouldn't be available for over a month and b. the other dribs and drabs would be delivered just like that.... in dribs and drabs. So thank you No Barbecues Galore, I'm about to go and process a refund request and perhaps head on down to Burning Log and buy a weber. At least I'll get...
Read moreStory worth reading!! I recently went to buy a new BBQ and was convinced to buy a Ziegler with the glass burners. I took it home which is 2 hour drive to where I live. Before I unpacked it I thought I would read some of the comments about it which in many cases were underwhelming (due to incorrect setup to natural gas I later found out) so decided to take it back the next day. Drove the two hours to the store where I met Patrick the store manager. He was surprised I was returning it and openly said he would exchange it no problems at all, BUT, he suggested I take it home for a week assemble it and try it and if i didn't like it bring it back and he would refund the full amount. He was quite adamant it is a great BBQ. I explained the distance I had travelled so he sent one of his staff to buy a steak and he pulled out of the back the same BBQ and he turned it on, seasoned the steak and cooked a perfect steak for me at 9am in the morning. At all times he was clear to say if I didn't like it he would refund the money.
Perfect steak, awesome service awesome BBQ.
