Caffe Cherry Beans — Restaurant in District of Majura

Very unimpressed with my visit today. I normally love CCB, because the food is great and the service is amazing, but there must have been a recent change in management, as the standards have dropped significantly. The food ordering process was easy, however when the food came out, my partner and my meals had almost 10 minutes between them, despite having similar cooking times. I had no major issue with it, however, my partner, who is a waitress mentioned that it is serving etiquette. When my partner's meal (Club Sandwich) came, the chicken felt like it just came out of the fridge, but the rest was piping hot. When I looked at my Chicken Burger (after the long wait), I noticed that the red onion that was served to me was rotten and fuzzy, and was like an elastic band... Turned me off my appetite. When I raised that problem with the onion, the server had no idea what to do about it, and asked myself whether she should tell the chef that they had rotten produce. If this is the new standards of Cherry Beans, its not good.... Something needs to change or you will...

*new updated review * Most recent visit I really enjoyed the food. Absolute yummiest waffles, and egg and bacon roll was 100% worth going to try here. I have not ordered the feta and avocado since my last visit (last review) but the food I have had most recently was worth the price as you get what you pay for, filling, so fresh and delicious.

1 star review I ordered the avocado and feta on toast and asked to get the eggs scrambled on the side (which they did). Although…. Told me that they had no more smashed avo so they had to just put it like that (as the photo) - like… sorry but how can you not know how to smash it yourself? And NO FETA! I mean…. Honestly a waste of money and they don’t have anything in the kitchen but there’s an Aldi and Woolworths literally nearby. Just don’t understand how this comes out just cause they don’t have...

This morning, I had the chance to enjoy breakfast at the café in my workplace, and I was truly impressed. I ordered Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon along with a matcha latte, and both were absolutely delicious.

The Eggs Benedict was perfectly prepared, with beautifully runny poached eggs, rich and flavorful smoked salmon, and a creamy hollandaise sauce. The English muffin was soft yet slightly crispy, creating a well-balanced dish.

The matcha latte was also excellent—naturally aromatic, with a deep green tea flavor that wasn’t too bitter, complemented by smooth, creamy milk. It was a comforting and energizing drink to start the day.

The café has a cozy atmosphere, with quick and friendly service, making it a great place to kickstart the morning. I’ll definitely be coming back...
