Extremely disappointing experience – Would not recommend Namaste Indian Restaurant
We were a group of 6 and had one of the most frustrating dining experiences here. We ordered: • Rajasthani Goat Curry • Chicken Chettinad • Paneer Tikka Masala • Assorted Indian breads
Chicken Chettinad – Terrible. It was full of coconut cream (which was not mentioned on the menu), making it sweet and completely unauthentic. When we questioned it, the staff had no idea and simply said, “That’s how our chef prepares it.” That’s not an acceptable excuse — if your version is different from the traditional dish, it should be clearly mentioned in the menu. We explained what authentic Chicken Chettinad is, but both the waiter and the man at the counter kept insisting theirs was correct. They later brought us a new version without coconut cream — but it was overly sweet and tomato-based, again completely off. It felt like they did it on purpose.
Paneer Tikka Masala – Equally bad. It tasted more like Shahi Paneer — way too sweet and nowhere close to the smoky, spiced flavour of a proper tikka masala. Same excuse again: “This is how our chef makes it.” That’s just poor accountability and no respect for authenticity.
Service – Absolute zero. I had asked for warm water even before we ordered the food — didn’t get it till the very end, after two reminders. Despite being the only customers, no effort was made to offer even basic service. Staff seemed careless and dismissive. The man at the counter even denied our earlier request for water.
Pricing – Way too expensive for such bad food and service. No apology, no adjustment on the bill, not even a basic gesture of courtesy for the messed-up dishes.
We ended up cancelling a few other dishes we had initially ordered, because the food and service were just that bad.
The only saving grace of our night? We walked out and went to Spice Affairs nearby — and what a difference! Authentic Indian flavours, quick service, not pricy at all, polite staff, and food that hit the spot. We were served, ate, and left completely satisfied within 30 minutes. That’s how a real Indian restaurant should be run.

I recently visited Namaste India with family, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and seated promptly in a cozy, beautifully decorated dining area.
The menu had so many tempting options, and the staff patiently helped us choose dishes based on our preferences. We started with the vegetable samosas, papdi chaat and chicken tikka – they were fresh, flavourful, and perfectly spiced. For the main course, we had butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, dal makhani and a vegetarian biryani, paired with garlic naan and steamed rice. Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavours that transported us straight to India!
The service was outstanding. The staff checked on us regularly without being intrusive and ensured our dining experience was flawless. The attention to detail, from presentation to portion size, was impressive.

We had spinach pakora and spinach chhat as starters, and both were very tasty. In the main course, we savored the delicious and creamy Veg Korma made from cashew curry, accompanied by a fresh Naan basket woth assorted Naan Breads. The Paneer Tikka curry was a standout dish – rich, creamy, and full of flavor! The Mango Lassi and Sweet Lassi were refreshing, and the mocktail was a nice surprise.
