I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming cafe, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting ambiance made me feel right at home.
The menu selection was impeccable, offering a delightful array of dishes that catered to both traditional and adventurous palates. I opted for their signature dish - ' Twice Cooked Brioche French Toast' and it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were perfectly balanced, leaving my taste buds dancing with joy.
The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that my dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. The level of service and attention to detail truly sets this cafe apart from the rest.
Not only was the food exceptional, but the presentation was also a feast for the eyes. Each dish was beautifully plated, showcasing the chef's passion for both taste and aesthetics.
The cafe's cozy and stylish interior, along with the soft background music, created a soothing atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to unwind or catch up with friends.
I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings. Whether you're a food enthusiast or just seeking a delightful place to enjoy a meal, this cafe is an absolute must-visit. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Five stars,...
Read moreFirst of all (since there are many glowing reviews here), this is just about my experience – which I still consider a pretty basic and common scenario to mess up.
Table for one. So, the experience will always be overshadowed when you see two different tables, that ordered after you, receive their food first. Especially since 15-20 minutes have passed, it's not a busy period, and you've been patiently waiting your turn!
I wish cafes would stop trying to be fancy and just make a good old-fashioned benedict. Stop serving it on toast. Stop ruining the hollandaise with too much acidity (apple cider vinegar, in excess today). Then, stop being stingy and just smother the stack so that it's actually a Benedict (which absolutely needs a muffin). Too many places treat hollandaise as if it's a balsamic glaze, and it just comes across as stingy. For $27? Unreasonable, I reckon. I had even requested against a small amount of hollandaise when I ordered, so it looks like that was ignored.
When I asked what time I ordered, the response was, "They overcooked the eggs". An apology was in order, but instead – nothing.
Clearly all of this doesn't encourage a return visit, and my ratings remain valid....
Read moreArrived at 2pm. Was not greeted by anyone, one was mopping the floor. When someone came to take my order the first thing they said was that the kitchen was closed. We said this was fine, since we just wanted to order coffee. When we ordered our second coffees at 2.40pm we were told that they close in 20mins. Fine, we said, we can drink a coffee in 20 mins. We were getting up to leave when we were told "we're all closed up now". To top it all off the woman operating the till said "can I be really rude and ask you to pay with card since I've already counted the till" !! Too bad, we were just going to give you $20 for 4 coffees, you missed out on the tip! Will NOT be coming back. 2 stars (instead of 1) because the coffee was...
