Dined at this beautiful family owned Italian restaurant. It is a beautiful restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine and staff. The staff that served us were very attentive and catered to of our needs. Big compliments to all of the staff on today!! For starters we had bruschetta, meatballs, bread and butter and oysters. All of our entrees had come out very quick and was delicious! Our favourite was the oysters they were fresh and delicious, can't go wrong! For our mains we had Saltimbocca, Scallopine along with a pasta veil dish. We we're all very impressed with our food and no one had left their plates empty. We had all ordered different wines and the selection was very impressive, they had so many options on their menu it was hard to decide what to get. All of the wines ordered were smooth and fresh. We had ordered a Shiraz, Prosecco and Rose. Overall this family owned business is a lovely establishment and we will gladly return to support this wonderful Italian restaurant. We had a lovley chat with the owner and his daughter and they really do love what they do and enjoy serving their customers. 10/10

Group of four went for dinner on a Saturday evening. Didn’t have a booking and was lucky to get a table. Food was excellent- had two pizzas, one pasta and an entree size chili mussels between us to share. Wood fired pizza crusts were perfectly cooked and mussels were so fresh and not chewy or tough. We tried the tortellini- cream sauce had the perfect consistency, velvety and not too rich. The pasta was cooked al dente and mushrooms still had bite. Most of all what stood out was the excellent service from the moment we entered the restaurant. Staff were so attentive- our bottle of water was never empty, it kept getting replenished without asking, plates cleared very timely and the bread basket accompanying our chili mussels was served with I’m guessing the standard three slices of bread however since there were four of us, the lady boss (?) took it back and came back out with four slices of bread. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. Our first and definitely not our last visit!

Absolute gem of an Italian Restaurant in Perth’s Western Suburbs that we discovered by accident. We wanted some Italian food and this place absolutely is the best. We came in around 6:00 pm being very hungry so we ordered two pastas, and were served around 15-20 mins after, which is very timely for an Italian Restaurant and boy did it deliver an amazing plate. Highly recommend this place and value for money, props to all staff, from front of house, wait staff and cooks.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Slice of Italy in Doubleview: Al Fornetto Delivers Every Time

If you're craving authentic Italian fare with a warm, family-friendly vibe, Il Fornetto on Scarborough Beach Road is a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the laid-back bistro atmosphere—complete with rustic wooden tables and the hum of happy diners—sets the tone for a memorable meal.

🍝 Food Highlights

The chilli mussels are a standout: fresh, spicy, and served with crusty bread perfect for mopping up the sauce. Their filet mignon is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the spaghetti marinara hits all the right notes with its rich, seafood-packed sauce. Don’t skip dessert—tiramisu and gelato are house favorites, and they pair beautifully with a glass of Italian desert wine.

🍷 Drinks & Service The wine list is well-curated, with Italian reds and whites that complement the menu. Service is prompt and professional, with staff who genuinely care about your experience. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeaway, the team makes you feel welcome.

🎉 Atmosphere & Value Il Fornetto strikes a balance between casual and classy. It’s perfect for a relaxed dinner, a date night, or even a group celebration. Prices are reasonable (A$20–60 range), especially considering the generous portions and quality ingredients.

📍 Location Perks Easy parking, wheelchair accessible, and outdoor seating available—ideal for Perth’s balmy evenings.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, Il Fornetto is one of those places that keeps calling you back. It’s not just dinner—it’s a little Italian escape right...

This place isn't equipped to deal with large birthday gatherings. Service was extremely chaotic and unorganised and the server seemed easily distracted and ran off her feet. We had to call her back to certain tables a few times so she could finish taking everyone's order for that particular table.

Some kids waited close to an hour to receive their food while others received theirs straight away. I was also assured on the phone at the time of booking that the restaurant will put as many tables together as possible to make it feel like, you know, an actual group gathering, instead we arrive and there's 6 small tables all spread out far from eachother. Meanwhile a semi large group near us had their tables combined no problem, but when I requested the same it apparently was too hard for our group and for the kitchen staff to keep up? I didn't expect one giant table for our group, but it would have been nice to narrow it down to at least 3-4 tables instead of 6.

Would have also been nice to tell me at the time of booking that the restaurant does not offer split billing. That was an absolute nightmare trying to sort out at the end of the night.

By the time we sorted everything it was too late to do the birthday cake and everyone had already had enough...
