Folk and Merchant is a new cafe in Doubleview with the most beautiful decor and relaxed vibes. They currently have yoga classes on every Sunday morning in their open courtyard, as well as live music every second Sunday morning. They also have a little retail space at the back of the cafe selling beautiful homewares and lifestyle products. They have a large range of vegan options on their menu, including filled vegan croissants (sweet and savoury options), open sandwiches (all of which can be made vegan) and smoothie bowls. Meals pictured: -Berry Rhubarb Croissant (raspberry and rhubarb compote, fresh strawberries, coconut yogurt and maple syrup) - this was a very generous size and so yum! The compote was really nice and not overly sweet, and it went well with the coconut yogurt. -Feta Tomato & Rocket Croissant (toasted croissant with vegan macadamia feta, tomato, rocket, and a drizzle of basil oil) - the croissant was lovely and crispy, and the ingredients were so fresh and delicious! -Maple Carrot Open Sandwich (roasted maple carrots, hummus, macadamia feta, pickled red onions and rocket) - I loved how colourful this dish was and it was so beautifully presented. The roasted maple carrots were cooked to perfection - so sweet and delicious. This is definitely a place worth checking out, keep an eye on their Instagram for some other events they have coming up too!

Loved the vibes and decor at the cafe- they sell local products from small business here and the woody rustic theme gave some good vibes. Unfortunately they were out of aƧai bowls when we came. Otherwise the food was pretty good- had the eggs Benedict - sauce was tasty and there was a generous amount of salmon. The pumpkin bread was a slight surprise in a good way and the ham and cheese toastie was pretty decent. Loved that there was a children’s play area but I’ve learnt that some of the issue is that if there’s excess rubbish/food around some toddlers pick them up and start eating then which just made me feel slightly less relaxed while eating. Quite a bit of soil around maybe after play from other kids so I was a bit wary about letting me 1.5 year old roam around. A bit more cleaning to the play area would go a long way but I suppose it’s understandable how it is. Also sitting outside you need to get a beeper - every dish I needed to go and get. 1. To retake order since there was no aƧai bowl 2. To pick upcoffee 3. Pick up 1st dish 4. Pick up 2nd dish A lot of back and forth to sit outside so table service is something I appreciate that much more after this experience. But overall I’d still recommend this place. Good food good vibes

Folk & Merchant in Doubleview has such a lovely sunny outdoor area šŸŒæā˜€ļø — pram-friendly and great for a chilled coffee stop. Inside is a bit tight and could use some TLC, but the little retail nook with local goodies is a nice touch. Staff are always super friendly, though service can be a little slow at peak times. Coffee is from Timely and usually spot on ā˜•ļø, though occasionally not hot enough. Prices are a little higher ($6), and takeaway cups are generic rather than branded — would love to see Folk bring their own style to these! Overall, a cozy local spot with coastal-earthy vibes, best for a takeaway coffee, sunny hangs, or picking up gifts from local makers. šŸ«¶šŸ¼ ā˜•ļø Follow along on Insta: @cafescoffeecups_inperth for more honest cafĆ© reviews around Perth!

Cozy place inside with a nice outdoor seating area on the side. Small area at front. Unfortunately bit noisy inside with the kids corner but once they left it was pleasant. Really good coffee & tea both served in gorgeous crockery but the tea cup handle was awkward. Menu is artisan, hippie vibe I guess, not over crowded but Unfortunately overpriced! Vegan & GF options. Nice minimal cabinet display, Muffins & a few Sweet Treats, they also sell fresh bread šŸ˜. Small display of kids clothes & beauty product including candles for sale. We ordered the Smashed Avo which isn't served with egg so we had to pay for an add on totalling $27 & unfortunately they don't do Poached eggs, only Scrambled or Fried so we chose Scrambled. Tastey fresh ingredients, well presented but Portions are small with all the fancy green stuff on top, served with 1 piece of tastey toasted Ciabatta but unfortunately Feta cheese was average & Eggs were a bit oily had a Fried taste. No big breakfasts or Bacon n eggs, they have Vegan choices & some GF. Good drinks menu. Customer service was friendly enough. We would come here again but probably only for coffee & the Croissants look big & yummy. Looks like the locals love it, steady traffic & busy takeaway window. BEWARE - Charges at checkout for using...
