Cinnabar Bakery — Restaurant in Drysdale

Purchased 3 pies and 2 drinks just before 3:00 PM. Lady was sweeping floor at door when arrived, pies in warmer with labels on front - we ordered pies that had stock behind labels she told us that wrong told which actually there as closing soon (in 1 hour). Went to eat at table outside she packing up said can't use, asked if could eat inside she said no they closing the 'dining area' - doesn't take an hour to wipe down 1 table. We had to eat the mince pies sitting on a bench in street, awkward and messy. Pies been in warmer too long dry and hard to eat, chargef full price despite she saying trying to get rid of. Rude service, pies not that good and not fresh. Portarlington Bakery same day friendly quick service happy to have customers sit down - completely different. The pies and donuts here are great, my mother always comes here and buys there delicious food. Most of the workers are wonderful, however today we went there and got the wrong amount of change, the worker who served us was a bit snobby and rude, she didn’t say anything when we asked nicely about getting the right change back, she just worked it it out on a calculator and chucked the change on the cashier bench and said nothing and walked off, talking to her co worker about it. With a heavy heart I had to give this bakery 2 stars. I ordered a chicken and leek pie and a sausage roll and to my dismay, I found my pie very ordinary. My sausage roll was quite nice and the other items within the shop looked good too but the star of the show and one of the most important things at a bakery (might I say) being the pie, was bland and lacking a strong chicken and leek flavour. This pie goes under their, specialty or gourmet range, so naturally came with a high price tag which unfortunately did not correlate with flavour. I think if I ordered standard beef I would have...
