Terrible service average over priced food. We were seated but not given menus us and others running around looking for menus. We got our coffees after finishing our meals mind you we had to ask twice to see where our coffees were. I saw and heard the lady ask one of the regulars what she ordered she then pushed her in before us even though we ordered first obviously you don't care about visitors. BTW you offered us free coffees we declined as we didn't want anything for free we just wanted to be respected the way you clearly respect the locals. You've lost not only our business but friends we bring to the area on a regular basis.
In response to the owner:
We waited over half an hour for 2 coffees. I watched you ask your friends what did you order you then proceeded to put their order in front of ours. Other reviewers have had this same experience so please don't make out your customers are impatient maybe make your friends wait their turn. Your reply clearly displays the same experience we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place has cemented its place as the most consistent (and good, obviously!) coffee in the Bellarine. Hubby and I have been going to local places for a long time, and we always come back here. And then last weekend he discovered the Vanilla Slice. My gosh. The best we have ever had, by a country mile. So good, we ended up having 4 of them in 24 hours! Was disappointed when I went in yesterday and didnāt see any, although my waistline was not disappointed! Kellie is one of the hardest working cafe owners around, staff are always smiley. The atmosphere is part cafe, part someoneās Nannaās place, part funky little garden area, but always nice in good weather. The menu is pretty large, and seems to cover all the normal bases, every meal we have had here has been really good. We are spoiled for choice on the Bellarine for food, wine and hospitality options, so having this one so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSadly today will be the last time I eat here. This is the second visit in a row we ordered from a menu that promised a lot but left us underwhelmed with the food result. The Grilled Whiting today was woeful. For $21.95 the single piece of whiting was tiny, accompanied by an equally small serve of lack lustre coleslaw and ugly big pieces of steamed potatoes. This dish gave the feeling of little care or consideration, not a feeling I get from the perceived mission of this establishment. We also ordered the Cuban Panini which had nothing Cuban about it and was plain and dry. The general feeling across our last two visits now is the food is over priced for what you get with little care for the consumer by...
