Walked around in Dubbo and found this sushi train restaurant with a group of friends and decided to give it a try. The sushi here was average and a bit overpriced for different plates (but understandable in a rural area), some sushi tasted really fresh and some tasted like the sushi has been sitting there for quite sometime (especially the chicken katsu sushi and anything that was fried). The panko of the katsu became stale and was hard to eat. But it’s understandable considering it’s a sushi train. We also had the miso soup, it tasted different then what a miso soup should taste like. It was super salty and then had a hint of sourness in it. This was a disappointment. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall average sushi on a sushi train, but wasn’t expecting much anyways.

Modest, low key sushi joint in the heart of Dubbo. Sushi train style, very reasonably priced and so far, the numerous times I've been here, always fresh. If your after a quick bite to eat, I definately recommend this place.

All food is very good. But as a korean. I can understand what the chef said. Chef's attitude is extremely bad. He complained client's waiting manner. For example "why they come into the store and stood waiting"

Pricing a bit high for the quality of Sushil made available on the day of our visit. Can get much higher quality sushi for less in a shopping mall. You go to a Sushil train for a variety of dishes that keep coming around, so you can sample lots of different kinds of Sushil.

Unfortunately, this place favours the naked sushi types (no seaweed wrapper) and some of the shopping mall variety. There were maybe 5 or 6 different dishes, including baby tuna rolls, on offer for the entire duration of our visit. Pretty poor.

There's a decent amount of real estate for both seating and sushi plates, but sadly it's not being used in a great way.

For basic sushi, go to Orana Mall and buy there.. until Sushi Zen lifts its game, it's not...

I quite enjoy this place and go there reasonably often. Their food is quite good and not badly priced. I find they are generally quite busy so the food turns over quickly but it can be hard to get in at rush times.

I find that lately they have tended to switch their dishes to a more "western" taste (ie more mayonnaise, less sashimi) but you can order what you want from the kitchen in the middle and they have some traditional choices on the train anyways, so the best of both worlds and maybe a better choice commercially for them.

Overall definitely...
