Burgertron — Restaurant in Dunsborough

Cons: Pretty rude service, soggy chips, takeaway bag packed terribly. Pros: Fast, decent flavours

Had ordered by phone and just going in to pick up the order. Stepped into the shop and immediately asked to step outside and “look at the menu” as “only allowed 4 people in the shop” (despite there already being 5 customers inside). Tried to explain we’re just there to pick up so we wanted to know if the order was ready- but pretty much not listening and was ignored.

Following this we stepped outside as requested, and a minute later another guy walks in and is NOT asked to leave, despite there now being 6 customers inside the shop. He ends up ordering before us (register guy doesn’t even remember he’s asked us to wait outside and serve us first)

Taste of the burgers is decent but Field of dreams Burger especially was dripping wet through the bun and soggy. Chips were also soggy.

Take away bag packed terribly. One burger was put sideways which got it squished, and a burger put right in top of the fries to make the fries soggier and the burger bun soggier from the condensation (only drove the burgers couple of minutes...

$1 from every burger is going toward framing the signed Grinspoon poster on the wall, which is just a brilliant and worthwhile initiative in these times. In all seriousness, the burgers are not overpriced and the menu strikes the right balance between creative and traditional. Not too extensive. We had just left a venue that was serving burgers for twice the cost and half the size and wanted something tasty and quality and “on the go”. Burgers require two hands to consume; they’re wide not high so you can easily get your laughing gear around them. Nice move Burgertron!! Cheeseburger was great, hit the spot. Ratios were correcto mondo. The “swiss” has that great cheese taste, not too much sweetness in the onion and lots of flavour from the smashed burger crust. These guys have done their burger homework and you can taste the passion. Not an easy thing running your own store, keep up the good work. We look forward to the visit when we’re next in town.
