FAMOUS PIES. YOU'RE JOKING.

We went to this Bakery for lunch as we heard it had a good reputation. We left very disappointed with our experience. 2 male staff on duty. Used tables were not attended to. There is outdoor and indoor seating available and we sat indoors where the floors were a mess from crumbs and flakes of pastry everywhere. My wife ordered a long black coffee to have with my steak and mushroom pie. The pie came in is obligatory packet. Upon extracting the pie I was disappointed with the soft small square pie confronting me. It tasted okay but certainly nothing special to warrant the famous pie reputation. We had to go and ask for our coffee again from the younger staff member who forgot that we had ordered it. No systems in place for orders and it was not busy during our Sunday visit. When we left I said to my wife that the place needed a female presence and touch in the shop front area. If I come back to Dunsborough I would try the bakery in the shopping centre across the road. The coffee was okay but nothing special to write home about. Come on guys make coming to your bakery a unique experience for your customers, especially when you have so much...

Dunsborough Bakery is a gem in the heart of the charming town of Dunsborough, WA. Known for its variety of baked goods, this bakery lived up to its reputation during my visit. I tried the peppered steak pie, and it was a delight. The pastry was golden and flaky, complementing the rich, flavorful filling perfectly. The balance of tender steak chunks and the pepper seasoning was spot-on, making every bite a satisfying experience.

Despite the shop being extremely busy, the efficiency of the staff ensured the wait was manageable. The bustling atmosphere only added to the bakery’s charm, as it’s clear this spot is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The display of freshly baked goods, from pies to pastries, was enticing, and it’s easy to see why this bakery attracts such a crowd.

If you’re in Dunsborough, I highly recommend stopping by for a taste of their peppered steak pie or exploring their other offerings. While you might have to wait during peak times, the quality of the food and the vibrant energy of the place make it worth your while. This bakery truly captures the essence of a classic, welcoming...

The Dunsborough bakery has been a tradition since 1941. Everytime we have gone down there we've stopped past here for a treat. Our current favourites are the Danish and the Almond croissant. This normally would take it to a "Liked it" however... The bakery has undergone a change over the last years where it was once a typical bakery in almost every sense of the idea. It has now tried to go "upmarket" whilst still keeping the same basic bakery products. Whilst it is good that there is a grow in the bakery, there is a massive disconnect between the fancy upmarket area on the right side and the main table as you walk in and the well known bakery on the left and the back (before the kitchen) The prices are ok for the...

Ok bakery to stop at if in the area or on the way to one of the sights (lighthouse / cave / MR). We saw a lot of good reviews for the bakery and was excited to try but honestly we were pretty disappointed. We did arrive close to closing time so that could be some of the reason but overall I would just say this is an average bakery. The meat pie was super salty and gelatinous inside. The muffin was a bit dry and the caravel slice was just sweet. There was nothing overly impressive and there are other cafes in the area with good items so I personally wouldn’t come back.
