A very mixed experience at this restaurant. After ordering 2 glasses of wine and soft drink for our son with the food, we had the (fantastic) entree garlic / cheese bread pizza come out after 20 mins. After a further 5 minutes my wife asked (rather politely) when our drinks maybe arriving in which she was told in a condescending manner “Yeah I saw them up at the counter so it won’t be long.”She then, went back inside and be-musingly proceeded to deliver other dishes to other tables for the next few minutes (one would think after she delivered the entrees she’d appreciate they’re a tad behind the 8-ball) but alas, no. We eventually received them after about 30mins.

The Seafood Marinara Pasta was drowned in Napoli sauce, as to take away any flavor of herbs, garlic or the accompanying Seafood. The pasta was overcooked, not al-dente as was the Spaghetti bolognese my son had. Totally overpowered by the presumptive dumping of a half bottle of Napoli sauce in each dish. The seafood also overcooked and rubbery, although generous in portion.

My supreme pizza however, was actually one of the best supreme pizzas I’ve ever had. Wonderful base with crispy crust, fresh & plentiful ingredients. I was perplexed that this establishment was so “chalk & cheese” across this menu and was genuinely disappointed my wife and son couldn’t enjoy the evening as I had.

I can now understand the sub 4 star rating of this restaurant. It can definitely do better however and become the true number 1 Italian establishment in Echuca, if it were to strive to improve the service and quality of their non-pizza menu dishes to a...

We were an early walk-in to Antonio's at around 5:30pm. The place was almost empty, but the young waitress in charge offered a less that friendly greeting and left us feeling as though our arrival was a significant imposition. We were snappily told that all the outside tables were taken and sassily steered to a table inside the almost empty (2 other diners) restaurant. We sat down, chose from the menu and waited. The waitress that'd shown us in walked past us several times despite us being ready to order. We were at the point of leaving when another waitress took our order.

While waiting for our food the staff chose to chat loudly amongst themselves led by the waitress that handled out meet and greet. The restaurant remained virtually empty at this point, but the staff were preoccupied amongst themselves or just yawning away.

Our food arrived quickly and my pasta was pretty good. Similarly, my wife's beef Waldorf was tasty although the beef contained an inordinate amount of gristle (see the attached picture). At no point did the wait staff engage us or ask how our food was.

We now know that we made a bad choice in picking Antonio's. My food was OK, my wife's spoiled by the quality of the beef. Our arrival was handled in the most unfriendly way and more akin to something out of Fawlty Towers.

Don't come here if you want a cosy place to eat with friendly and customer...

EASILY the worst restaurant experience I've ever came across. Joke of a restaurant. We booked a table on the 29th of December, but was told it wasn't ready when we got there. Finally set down, while our menus never came (after 15 minutes of waiting), so we had to go ask for it.

Our appetizer never came until we went-in and asked for it 30 minutes later. Waited almost an hour for our mains to arrive, which also never came. We got fed up and decided to ask for take-away instead. When we went-in to enquire, they "coincidentally" came out with our pizza and pasta moments later after a staff member went into check.

When we got into the car, we noticed our food were completely cold. This begs me to wonder what they were doing with our food the whole time in the kitchen? If we never went to ask, the food would've never came out.

Note: We observed all the tables around us, customers who were there before us still didn't get their food when we left. Some tables took forever to get their drinks. Customers were all getting fed-up left right and centre. The restaurant was busy, but wasn't busy enough to warrant such a disgusting service.

Best advise - do not come to this restaurant. There are much better...

Dropped in on Antonio's on High Street Echuca for dinner mid week. The restaurant seemed to be quite popular with almost every table occupied. This is always a good sign. I was craving an Italian meal in after the arancini appetiser which were excellent I ordered a Pizza Calabrese since they announce they use a Wood Fire Oven. The quality of the dough and toppings were fresh and good quality. What let's them down is the improper use of the oven. If the temperature is too low and the pizza needs to cook for longer than it crust will end up being crunchy like a biscuit. Proper use of the oven requires a pizza to be cooked in 90 seconds at 400 degrees Celsius. I'm looking forward in trying them again to try something else from their menu.

10/10 would recommend, my sister and I travel a lot and always look forward to having a good meal, by far my favourite Italian restaurant, staff are always so friendly and food is to die for, good drink options and amazing desserts. It’s always so refreshing to go somewhere where you know the food will be delicious and I get so excited when we are in Echuca because I know we just have to eat at Antonio’s by far worth the money and travel, some of the best food I’ve ever had. Not to expensive for a fancy restaurant and is easy to get to with good street parking out front.
