Bond Sushi — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

The best sushi spot I have ever been to and I have been here from primary school and now I am second year in Uni. The owners treat you like their own child, always providing a happy and joyous greeting when you go into the store. The sushi selection is vast & plentiful. You have many alternatives too with vegan options. The prices are cheap and affordable with valuable portion sizes. The owners truly care about their customers, especially in this day and age where everything is super inflated and expensive. Their rice bowls are a whole different story. Plentiful with rice, toppings and especially the (i cant remember its name) egg, katsu and rice bowl is awesome! Even if you can eat big portions, they spoil you well and leave you feeling fulfilled. Overall, they deserve a 1000/10 for how they always manage to put a smile on my face and always make me feel at home. The food always being delicious and made fresh throughout the day. Unlike other sushi stores where the avocado is black or the sushi is soggy, you won't find such low standards here at Bond Sushi. Extremely disappointed as my partner called over 5 times with no answer so she walked in and ordered and paid for a a chicken katsu at 1:10 and I had waited 20 minutes with my buzzer, as I watched everyone who ordered their food after me receive it before I even got mine, its 1:30pm now and still didn’t get my meal until I had to go ask where my meal was for them to tell me they had lost my order , a lady had order 4-5 chicken katsu and the staff just grabbed me one of theirs to give to me which had been sitting there for a while so now my meal isn’t hot anymore and not to mention no salad!!!

Your opening hours say you close at 4pm , I would understand if you guys had no salad if the time was 3:30pm but it’s only 1-1:30pm!

Awesome and authentic local Japanese. Bond Sushi is slightly hidden away in Market Square, Varsity Lakes but well known to Bond University students and staff. The sushi is always super fresh and delicious, and quite possibly the best prices on the Gold Coast especially given the quality of the food. Bond Sushi is way better than anything on offer on campus! Staff are absolutely lovely, so smiling and kind, and know the regulars by name. Their katsu chicken is the best and is a hugely generous serving. If you have done a gym workout that morning, katsu chicken is the go-to.
