The Vietnamese food here is good and the service is great. Friendly customer service.

Came here as a group of 3, and ordered their bún bò Huế (spicy beef noodle soup) x 2, crispy pork vermicelli, chả giò (Vietnamese spring rolls), bạc xỉu (Saigon style coffee) and cà phê sữa dá (Vietnamese iced coffee).

Their bún bò Huế (spicy beef noodle soup) was decent, however, it lacked lemongrass and shrimp paste flavour. As we ordered too BBH, the sate chilli sauce was not consistent, one bowl had little sate while the other bowl had a lot of sate. Which worked out anyways because one of the group member couldn’t handle the spice tolerant anyways. Normally BBH has a very flavourful spicy lemongrass and shrimp paste flavour making it a balanced spicy beef noodle. The portion was good and price was decent. It just lacked that lemongrass flavour and could use shrimp paste to the broth.

The crispy pork vermicelli was good. The chả giò (Vietnamese spring rolls) could improve. It was a bit sweeter than usual Vietnamese spring rolls, and the interior inside was a bit too wet due to the onion. Flavour was still good though even though it was sweet.

The coffees were decent as well. Was too sweet to my liking as they used a lot of condensed milk but it was still good. The coffee bean profile was lacking that robust flavour in traditional Vietnamese coffees. The grounded coffee beans also seeped through the phin filter too quick (usually it should drip really slow), making the coffee lacking that Vietnamese coffee flavour.

Overall, food was decent for the price...

Communication was very poor and service - absolutely terrible. Every single aspect of the service was a disaster! The server had a lot of difficulty communicating which meats were left for the Banh Mi rolls. We finally established they had run out of pork belly but had pork & chicken left (apparently!). We ordered 2 Banh Mi’s (pork + chicken) as well as the diced beef dish with rice and vegetables, with the server repeating our order. After 22 mins waiting outside (inside was crammed with people and noisy) we went and asked what was going on with our order - they had not even begun making it. We repeated what our order was and she checked the register informing us that we only ordered one Chicken Banh Mi. I then checked my bank account and discovered she had only charged us for the one (didn’t realise initially as just tapped and went). Then apparently no pork left at that stage! We didn’t bother re-ordering the rest as at that point we’d had enough. The Chicken Banh Mi we ended up sharing was satisfactory - quite tasty but have definitely had better. Won’t be returning which is unfortunate as it’s our local Vietnamese and we were hoping for...

I've dined in twice in this restaurant and my first experience was good. The picture of the vermicelli salad with spring rolls and the bao bun are the first food my partner and I ordered. The food was fresh and crispy and the pork crackling in the bao is very nice. The drinks were also good and simple. Second time we decided to eat here again and ordered the same bao bun and pho noodles. This time we're disappointed as the pork in the bao is not the same as before. No crispy crackling and tasted different. The pho noodles as well is not what I have expected and not one of the best I've tried. I think they have different chefs on the different days we've been and I would have given it 5 stars if they are consistent with the taste...

What an absolute delight this place was! I have never been much of a fan of vietnamese food solely because i knew none of the restaurants I’ve been to were authentic. The Pho- a classic determines the quality of thr rest of the food and I have to say- Homese is the best on the Coast so far. We had the spring rolls, pho, spicy bun bo hue and the rice with stir fried lemon grass chicken, and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was very fresh and flavourful, the spring rolls were crunchy and filled with fresh ingredients. Will definitely go back. 10/10 would recommend 😉
