I went in here recently as I just moved to the area and am exploring new cafe. The menu looked great so I thought I’d give it a try. I walked to counter and the 2 female staff members there gave me no warm welcome, no hello or anything. One of them said what would you like in a cold manner, without even looking at me and just down at the iPad to place order. I felt soo uncomfortable and unwelcome. I actually couldn’t believe how rude she was. I asked about something on the menu and she sarcastically answered. I ended up going elsewhere and had such a lovely warm experience in another local cafe. It’s a shame about her attitude as I was looking forward to trying the menu but I’ll never go back. Fred and Emily have always been SO helpful; they've never failed in going above and beyond. My first experience was around June this year, I called in the morning and asked them to organise food for 15 people for lunch. They didn't pose any barriers unlike other places who said it was too last minute etc. The team even offered to deliver. Second experience was today. I decided to go back and get them to organise lunch for the same 15 people. I placed the order on Friday for delivery on Monday. It was smooth and perfect. I was so pleased with their efforts in helping me pick a menu. Just made my life so easy. Thanks a MILLION ! I'd highly recommend this place should you need to feed one, two or 15+ people. Such an amazing cafe! Honestly my favourite coffee local on the Gold Coast.
Nina & Freddy are wonderful owners. I am always greeted with a smile and Nina remembers my order every time. They know how to brew an awesome latte - highly recommend!
Their shop is always well maintained, stylish & I never have to wait longer than a few minutes for my order.
If you are in the Varsity Lakes area, I highly recommend you stop by. If you're not in Varsity then you should definitely visit.
