We went this place based on it's reviews however the overall food quality was rather disturbingly disappointing. This is not Thai food as we expected. As a person used to work in a Thai restaurant as a teenager I'd like to share my ideas about the food we had the other night.
Fish cakes was ok, just like any other Thai places, no comment there.
Tom yum soup was very salty but acceptable for a Thai dish, the flavor was very little I guess they have to skip or reduce some of the ingredients to suit Aussie preference which some people may find it tasty. It was fine.
Chicken Pad Thai was very tomatoy, it tastes almost like a Thai style tomato pasta but much sweeter, which is definitely not what pad Thai should be taste like. The noodle was colorless and plain. It was the worst pad Thai I have ever eaten. For people who loves pasta, you might find it delightful. But please do not call it Pad Thai just so that people won't get confused.
The Thai beef salad, it was so salty that we couldn't eat it at all. It was cover with thick sauce that filled up half of the dish. Few essential ingredients was missing which has changed its flavor dramatically, for example rice powder. But you couldn't tell if theres any flavor with all that saltiness anyway. The thick sauce was rather disgusting.
Chill basil stir fry, it was very salty and lack of the taste of basil which is the most important ingredient for that dish. Also there's way too much sauce came with it which made it looks like a stew and there is a fine line between a stir fry and a stew which A chef should know better.
The table service was average, the atmosphere was ok, price is bit expensive considering the food quality. Overall, I'd say it's definitely below average Thai food on the gold coast with...

Now what is great is:
Portion sizes, you really do get great value for money. Nice big portions that offer great value for cost.
Fair pricing, for the quality of the food and the generous serving its priced really competitively and allows you to get a great meal and not bust the bank. This actually meant that we got food from here twice this week because it was affordable. This means you've got the pricing spot on. People will eat here multiple times rather than just once in a blue moon.
Nice selection of food without being over crowded. Yes make 10 - 15 great things rather than 30 - 40 average, rushed and bland dishes. The menu is great. A nice balance of choice and realistic ability to keep it quality.
The only constructive feedback I would give you would be to use a better quality chopstick to give as a takeaway item. The ones currently on offer are a bit too cheap and you can taste the balsa wood rather than the food. Look to sushi train here for guidance. They use a great brand and its a joy to use them. I'm sure the marginal increase in cost will be negligible.
However this is of course a minor gripe.
I've left a 5 star review. As both times we've really enjoyed your food and of course...
