Cuppa at Coomera Community Cafe — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I just bought carrot cake and coffee and the topping on the carrot cake was rancid.

I told the girl and she just said she would remove the remaining slices from being sold to other people but would do nothing about the cake that I bought 🤔

I said but the cake is off and I might get sick from eating it, I asked them to taste the cake to see for themselves that the topping was sour and gone off. One lady said she would and took it out the back. I waited near the counter to see what they said. Anyway none of them tasted the cake. Thegirl with the ponytail was back at the counter so I continued to ask about the questionnable carrot cake but it soon became apparent that she really didn't care.

She said you have eaten it now. I said I thought it tasted funny after a few bites but because I have had cancer treatment and my taste is sometimes a bit affected I wasn't sure. But the last bite I had I could definitely tell it was off.

Anyway I think that is a very poor thing to treat a customer like that.

Serving rotten food is a thing that eateries should obviously be very concerned not to do, this service attendant had a 'could not care less' 'bad luck on you attitude'.

What a shame I had thought it was s nice place till now.

Coomera generally has kind and caring people that help people. This girl probably is not from here. I would guess.

She is out in the cafe stuffing her face now as well 🫨

I am pretty shocked now that I checked the cake for sale to see the cake is still being sold to customers and has not been removed at all.

As well the girl made up a story about she had had some a day or two ago and it was fine, that was what she said when I was telling her cake was no good.

Clearly the girl could not lay straight in bed, as you can see mine is the only slice missing from the cake....

Please, please supervise your staff, basic skills are lacking, once again today we( group of 7) witnessed appalling behaviour, 2 at our table ordered hot chips, they where not cooked properly and had chicken salt on them, which was not asked for. So basic cooking of chips was a fail. Then one of our ladies called the waitress to our table" excuse me my chips are not cooked" the waitress response should of went something like this" I'm terribly sorry, let me take those for you and replace them" yes? This was what this waitress said to my friend, I'm a terrible tone of voice,"Well did you try them?" Wow we where all taken back with the way she spoke and took the basket of chips away. Unfortunately she wasn't much better on the return either.Basic customer service another fail! Our other friend didn't get hers replaced though she could not eat...

Visited this cafe this morning with my daughter in law and grandchildren. We have been here before several times. The girls behind the counter are lovely and the food is good. However, the “ BOSS” was extremely rude and obnoxious. She has lost our business and we will be telling everyone we know how she treated us. You are an utter disappointment and Un-Australian. We were out in the car park not even near the centre itself when she very aggressively spoke to us twice regarding our masks. We were only going to purchase takeaway coffee as we had genuinely forgotten them. As we crossed to the centre she aggressively ask for a third time where we were going.
