I used to get takeaway from this restaurant quite often about five years ago. It seems the ownership has changed since then, but the reviews weren’t bad, so I decided to try it again after a long time.
First, the curry. I asked about the spice levels and was told that "mild" means no spice and "medium" has a little spice. So I ordered the Tikka Masala with medium spice. However, it turned out to be unbearably spicy—so much so that my tongue and lips were burning and swelling. I couldn’t eat it at all. Also, aside from the chicken I chose, there were no vegetables or anything else in the curry. Next, the Keema Samosa I ordered as a side. It looked nothing like the photo on their website. It was overcooked and completely burnt on the outside and inside—way too crunchy. It was so bad that I brought it back to the restaurant, and the female owner simply said, “It is supposed to be like that.” But it looked nothing like the photo! The filling was also dry and over-fried. It was obvious that it had been sitting in the freezer for months before being overcooked.
They gave me a refund, but I only received $5 even though the item cost $5.50—I noticed that later. I need to find a better...
Read moreCannot believe this place! Did a phone order on our way home, we order the same meal every time as that’s what we love she got the order wrong, so we rang after getting home to let them know, she denied she got it wrong we thought we’d just forget about it and give what she gave us a go it was absolutely disgusting so I rang to let her know we really didn’t like the order and what was the solution, she kept denying she had made the mistake! Absolute joke, where we are from customer service is first a foremost as why would we order a meal we don’t know, they’ve now lost customers and I won’t be recommending them again don’t waste your time her solution was she would give us a free garlic nan next time but on the app it’s buy one get one...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this Indian restaurant in Ashmore, and I must say, the food truly exceeded my expectations!
The butter naan was absolutely perfect - soft, fluffy, and brushed generously with butter. It had just the right amount of crispness on the edges while remaining warm and pillowy inside. A great companion to any curry.
The real highlight for me was the paneer dish (we tried the Paneer Makhni). The paneer was fresh and soft. It had that comforting, home-style taste that leaves you wanting more.
The portions were generous too. Whether you are a fan of Indian food or trying it for the first time, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious...
