I Ordered food from here through Uber Eats and was really disappointed. The food was cold, bland, and felt like it had been sitting around for hours before being delivered. Ordered Kadai Chicken and it was a huge letdown. The chicken was dry and overcooked, and the gravy had zero depth—tasted more like tomato paste than anything rich or flavorful. Barely any spices, and the portion was tiny for the price. This is not what Kadai Chicken is supposed to taste like. Definitely not worth it. Naan was soggy and clearly not fresh. For the price I paid, I expected way better. Definitely not ordering from here again. Ordered the chicken pakora and regretted it instantly. The pieces were dry, over-fried, and barely had any chicken inside—just thick, greasy batter. Zero flavor, no crunch, and a weird aftertaste. Easily one of the worst pakoras I’ve ever had. Terrible experience. The Daal Makhni was bland, watery, and tasted like it came from a can—nowhere near the rich, creamy dish it’s supposed to be. The Malai Kofta was even worse: mushy koftas drowned in an overly sweet, artificial-tasting gravy. Both dishes lacked freshness and any real flavor. Definately, not...
Read moreThe UK's favourite cuisine is Indian, so it takes a lot to find somewhere that matches in authenticity and true Indian taste. I also have to mention that I have travelled extensively around India so that is the basis of my personal opinion about this restaurant. I liked it so much I brought back my Indian friends and they loved it too which they both expressed surprise at. The lady serving couldn't be more accommodating and hospitable. The food was delicious had the right spice level for all of our eclectic tastes and we were able to distinguish the different subtle spices that went into the dishes. Wow I will come back here. I am giving a review with two minds I want the restaurant to succeed but also I am a little possessive of my find. If the premises were on the main road or in a prominent place you would know about it already. As it was, whilst we were eating so many people came in for their takeaways it is no wonder many of them were of Indian origin. I am a vegetarian and the restaurant took great care to ensure their was no chance of cross...
Read moreWe ordered food via uber eats and if you are looking for good India food, this is definitely NOT the place you should try. We ordered both plain and garlic naan and not only was it cold but also felt like it was made hours ago and was just reheated before being packed. Also, there was absolutely no difference in the two. We specifically mentioned "hot spicy" and "medium Spicy" for spice levels (because they asked for it on uber) for 2 curries and a dal and all three tasted bland and had mildest of taste there is. Don't even get me started on the rice. We had half uncooked rice delivered.
Nothing seemed like it was freshly cooked. I am sure it was reheated and delivered. Would not doubt if it was frozen food from supermarket just heated and delivered.
To the owner, do not try to put the blame on the uber driver for this. There is a difference between cold food and bland, tasteless, uncooked and...
