Been here many times before now with the changes - the food is still good but the service is rubbish. Couldn't make a booking over the phone for dinner and was told it had to be done online. When using the QR code to order dinner, there were no options to remove items from the meal such as tomato off the Tav burger. Having 2 coeliac kids it was great to see GF options with the burger buns which we ordered two of, however with one order, the kitchen made the decision to remove the fries from the the order as they contained gluten and replace them with a salad ( which we didn't ask for and kids wouldnt eat). With the second burger order, which hadn't come out yet, I went and spoke to the kitchen staff about replacing the salad with the sweet potato gluten free fries and was repeatedly told no by the wait staff - and finally the chef and was told that changes can't be made to orders once in- to which I replied "well you made changes to the first burger order without even asking if we would prefer a GF salad or GF sweet potato fries, so I think you can make changes" with which I was again repeatedly told changes can't be made. So I requested no salad dressing and brought the two uneaten salads home for our guinea pigs to eat...... Basically food still good. Ordering app needs a full set up options and customer service very lacking especially in the back of the kitchen....... If you want a quieter area to enjoy your meal I would suggest the area closest to the carpark. No table service so you can't ask questions regarding the menu and clarify information. Customer service has really gone down hill. People want face to face. Not face to screen experiences.

Nice tavern with 5 different eating spaces..Lounge bar, sports bar, garden deck, atrium and garden mural room.I sat on garden deck, very nice spot except for that door that keep banging in the wind because it doesn't close properly..The pokie room was a bit too small and squishy..I did really enjoy my lunch though..Panko crumbed calamari was soft and tasty..The salad surprisingly delicious and the beer battered chips very nice..My friend had the pulled pork tacos, she said they were a bit salty but she ate them..Very good menu,I want to go back to have the Spiced half chicken..😊😋

We've been here a few times now as we just moved down the road. We've been to a few pubs around the area and the Ashmore tav is the best! The food is amazing. I recommend the pork belly and the steaks were HUGE! All the staff are so lovely and accommodating. We always try to go on a Saturday because the kids entertainer is incredible. I barely see my kids because she keeps them so engrossed with balloon twisting/face painting etc. She's hilarious. The atmosphere is lovely. The new renos make the place feel comfortable and inviting. Highly recommend Ashmore tav!

I came in for lunch, as I usually do at least once a week, and knew there was a new menu—so I was hopeful to try something different. Unfortunately, nothing really appealed to me, but I was pleased to see one of my favourites, the chicken Caesar wrap, listed on the seniors menu.

I asked if it might be possible to order it, even if it meant paying a little extra as I’m not a senior, but the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful, with a “I don’t make the rules” attitude. It left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome.

As a long-time regular who brings friends and family here weekly, I was genuinely disappointed—not just by the lack of flexibility, but by the poor attitude from staff. It’s disheartening to feel like my ongoing support as a customer isn’t valued. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I’d really like to continue dining here—but experiences like this make it harder to justify returning.

I also genuinely don’t understand why a menu item would be available in-house, yet restricted to a limited group of diners. It doesn’t make sense from a customer service or business...

Had my sons 21st there and was not impressed. Nothing on the school type tables, not even white paper..knife fork and a plate. We took 30 balloons for them to put on tables, they came out when guests were already there and only blew up 6, never saw the rest of them they were not returned...My salmon was half raw and the food very basic and not appertising at all..even the veges were raw...very dismal place never have an event here..It was really a letdown..when I asked about any kind of tablecloth or anything to make it look a little less bare the young lady said to me its a Tavern what do you expect..When I had rung and booked the dinner I asked for one long table and they told me they did have some decorations that they could put out..nothing..Perhaps they could have told me that it was going to be so very basic and I could have gone elsewhere..it wasnt even one long table..nothing was as they said it would be..we spent at least 600 dollars there that night and I wish we had never ever...
