We had the good fortune to have lunch at Hudson and Rosies on a cool August day. I had the Tofu scramble on a potato hash cake, my partner had the mushrooms on toast with pickled tomatoes. Oh wow! Top knotch tucker and a joy to eat and have such vegetarian options on offer. The staff were friendly, the place takes Covid seriously and is organised to cope. I could hear the music but it did not dominate. All in all a fantastic lunch and we will be back soon. The menu is not extensive but more than caters to most tastes. There are more than one offering for vegetarians, well done. It seems to be a bold move for most establishments but Hudson and Rosies do it well.

Update 12th Nov 2021...Finally made it back gain for lunch to sample the new summer menu. Very poor sample from us as we both had the same thing.. Tender chilli salt calamari w’ pickled green papaya, bean sprouts, mint, coriander, red onion & fried chilli w’ a sweet mirin dressing topped w’ crispy shallots

Wow Hudson and Rosies you have done it again!!! Kaboooom!!! xxx

My chilled turmeric drink was spot on too

We are so privileged to have such a great different eclectic eating establishment in the suburban boondocks of the Gold Coast...haha I am local so can call it...

I’m struggling with this review as I have mixed feelings….. I have heard a lot about this place and was excited to finally go. Wait staff were amazing and extremely friendly, food was beautiful, coffee great. It’s a little gem in an unassuming shopping centre in Highland Park.

However here is the bit that stung. I ordered their ‘Signature Beni Bagel’ which either came with either salmon or pulled pork, I asked if I could swap out those and have bacon instead. The wait staff had to go check with the manager/chef which she said was fine, however then charged me to add on bacon to the full priced standard dish - I didn’t realise until I got back to the table. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they had said “do you still want to keep the salmon” etc (my friend had the Buddha bowl, could easily have been added to that instead). Just ‘Full dish price’+ ‘add bacon price’

Just seems a bit cheeky when I asked if I could have a cheaper item substituted and get charged more for it, don’t get me wrong it was beautiful, just doesn’t seem great...

Came here today as we were in the area. Ordered at thd counter and paid. I asked do we get our own water and was told it would be brought to us. Nothing came so I got it myself, glasses on z trolley and bottles in fridge by door. Staff appear to be going thru the motions with no real interest in customer service or gheir jobs. My eggs Benedict were inedible. The potato hash was tooo salty, The eggs were like 2 golf balls, and the bacon was the cheapest most tasteless you could buy. When telling the staff before leaving, all that was offered was to give them my name for a free coffee next time! I said we would not be coming back. To be fair, the coffee is very nice, so think the best option is to come here for coffee and a cake but not food That needs to be cooked. Apparently they have just taken on a new "chef" to which I said they would be best to get rid of them and get another one. If you can't cook and present eggs Benedict, quite frankly you don't belong...

Happy weekend - you know that means brunch time right 🤭 Today’s deliciousness from @hudsonandrosiestable 🤗 . 📍 Shop 16/106 Alexander Dr, Highland Park QLD 4211 . Our food: ~ Buddha Bowl with Grilled Chicken ~ Special of the week - Bacon Fritters! . It’s a bright and sunny day, so Wifey wanted to take a day trip to the #goldcoast to soak up the sun ☀️ We saw this place looking pretty yummy in pics on our IG feed, so we decided to try it out ☺️ . My Buddha bowl was vibrant and delish! I really liked the beetroot in there, kinda tasted like they were pickled and roasted - which I absolutely loved 🤤 . Wifey opted for their special dish, which was crispy bacon bits with bacon fritters 🥓 pretty yummy too and a decent portion size for the price 👍🏻 . Happy with our new find down the coast, we’ll probably be back to try their other menu items too 🤗😇
