Las Palmas is a hidden gem in Palm Beach, Queensland. It is a small, family-owned restaurant that serves up delicious South American cuisine. The food is fresh and authentic, and the service is friendly, beautiful and attentive. I recently visited Las Palmas for dinner with my colleagues. We started with the small plates, which were all delicious. I especially enjoyed the yuca fritters and zucchini. For our main course, we ordered the about 12 Plates. All dishes were cooked perfectly and were very flavorful. We finished our meal with a glass of sangria. The sangria was refreshing and helped to cleanse our palates after our meal. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Las Palmas. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would highly recommend Las Palmas to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Palm Beach. Here are some specific details about my experience: * The food was fresh and authentic. The ingredients were high quality, and the dishes were cooked perfectly. * The service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and was happy to make recommendations. * The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The restaurant is small and intimate, and the decor is stylish and modern. * The price was reasonable. The dishes are priced fairly, and the portions are generous. I would give Las Palmas 5 stars out of 5. It is a great restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic anything South American meal.

Service (5/5): Service was excellent, we didn't book and immediately got given a great table with a nice view of the waves, multiple staff were very attentive, ensuring we always had what we wanted. Food (4/5): The empanadas (I got beef) were hands down the best I've ever had. The haloumi tacos were fantastic, light but full of flavour. The octopus and chorizo skewers were a little oily for my liking and, whilst perfectly cooked on the outside, were undercooked along the skewer. This wouldn't deter me from going again. I'd just try other items on the menu (so every other dish 5/5 and skewer 3/5). Drinks (6/5): Sunday is $15 margs, which my partner loved, and I got a beautiful espresso martini - well made, no faults at all, and I want more. Atmosphere/location (5/5): you ignore the busy road behind you focussing on the waves and the great views, the venue itself is well put together and would be great for second dates, where you'd like to spend the afternoon beyond your meal drinking cocktails and enjoying the vibe. For a place where one dish made me feel unwell, I'd still absolutely recommend this place and other dishes on the menu. The staff also just made it a nice experience - and it wasn't one person but a consistent focus on customer service across the road. Try parking one street over before giving up on busy days.

Missed Opportunities: A Promising Venue Let Down by the Drinks Our first visit to this venue was filled with anticipation. We chose to sit upstairs on the balcony, catching the last rays of afternoon sun and watching the traffic roll by on the highway. The space itself is inviting, with a large indoor dining area and another balcony boasting ocean views, plenty of promise for a relaxed outing. Ordering via QR code was convenient, and the bar looked great, setting high expectations. Unfortunately, the drinks didn’t deliver. The beer arrived flat, and the watermelon margarita was missing its key ingredient, watermelon, leaving it lackluster and disappointing. With so many options along the coast, sometimes a venue only gets one chance to impress. While the atmosphere was welcoming, the drinks missed the mark, making it hard to justify a return visit.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Las Palmas, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and charming, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. Their knowledge of the menu and their recommendations showed a genuine passion for the culinary delights they offer. And speaking of culinary delights, the food at Las Palmas is an absolute masterpiece. Each dish that emerged from the kitchen was a work of art, both in presentation and taste. The highlight of the evening was when Chef Eugênio came to our table to personally check on our dining experience. His warm demeanor and willingness to engage with the guests added a personal touch that is often rare in fine dining establishments. In conclusion, if you're looking for a dining experience that combines impeccable service, an inviting atmosphere, and food that is nothing short of a masterpiece, Las Palmas is the place to be. My taste buds have been forever spoiled, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable...
