My Place Chinese — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Staff are excellent but the last two times we have eaten here have been very disappointing. My sweet and sour pork was so tough I couldn't eat it. I took it home to try the next day and it was still so tough I threw it away. My friend said her meal was almost cold when she ate it.

I did report my concerns to the waitress and she said she would tell the chef.

Terrible meals twice in a row now. The other time we put it down to just a one off bad night. We won't be going back which is unfortunate because we used to dine at this restaurant frequently.

I have been told it appears the restaurant could be using" cheap cuts" but I can't obviously verify this to be the case and it certainly doesn't apply to...

If You lived in Australia Many Decades Ago, You Might Remember Visiting a Chinese Restaurant Like This. With Its Traditional Decor & Ambience. Has An Extensive Menu Selection of Chinese & Malaysian Cuisine. Friendly & Very Efficient Service. Tremendous Value for Money. After ordering from here for almost 30 years I give up! Had the ginger prawns -overcooked and no flavour .Tasted like air . Beef in black bean -same. Rang to give constructive criticism and was shut down so I asked for a refund for the prawns and they asked me to return them (why would they want them back from a delivery order -so I took them back and got my refund -no apology at all .
