What a privilege to experience time at this Iconic Race Course for such a Meaningful Charity Event raising much needed awareness and prevention for Mens Mental Health and wellbeing. My partner and I attended the Men Matter, City Fleet Sitrak Stallion Soiree- The Glasshouse Event, last Saturday 20th July. This Event, Brilliantly Emceed by the Capable, Intelligent, Inspirational, Talented former St Kilda, Hawthorn, Sydney Swans AFL Legend, that is Peter Spida Everett, also long running All rounder, Radio Co-Host for more than a decade, the Number 1 Breakfast Radio Show on our airwaves, every morning from 5am-9am on Gold FM 92.5 Triple M, with the Gorgeous, Hilarious, Witty Ally and the Outrageously Funny, Clever, Musical, Artistically Minded Flan. With Vince Sorrenti and his endless jokes to Sam Thaiday's meaningful speech to raise awareness for Mens Mental Health, Wellbeing was well received ( minus the blatant rudeness of sloppy punters talking while Vince and Sam spoke!!!! Go outside and ramble. Food was Spectacular, Coffee was much needed, to cope, and went down well. Staff were Professional, Polite, Attentive, Helpful and Happy to assist anyone at anytime. Excellent amenities- the less than desirable behaviour of some men. My partner being an Avid Horse Racing in all it's entirity, lover of more than nearly 4 decades Loved spending his afternoon on the Beautiful Gold Coast, in one of the Greatest Turf Clubs ever! Hopefully Men Matters was a massive Success in raising endless funds for Livin, Everything Suarve, The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and The Common Good. Just got home from the Gold Coast Melbourne Cup race day. Paid $21160.00 for a table in the DOME which gave me seating for 8 guests, a buffet lunch, and a drink package with table service. I was so excited to get away with friends and had such a wonderful time last year in the Gallery restaurant with the same type of package.

Well what a disaster! SHAME on you Gold Coast Turf Club. You have taken money under false pretenses. The food was average , there was no table service because there just was not enough staff to serve anyone let alone table service. One bar open with four bar staff to serve over 500 paying guest at $270.00 a head. No staff to clear the tables so I sat with prawn heads and guts for over 3 hours. No room to put your drink on the table , no room to get out of your chairs because they packed as many tables in as possible . Air conditioning unable to cope with the amount of people shoved into the space. Impossible to walk around the table. Missed betting on 2 races as in a line 10 deep at the bar tying to get a drink. Stood in line for 1 hour as I listened to people abuse the bar staff through pure frustration. In the bar staffs defense there was no way possible they could keep up, it was a no win situation. If I could give a rating of Zero I would This was going to be an annual event for myself and friends. We traveled from NSW to go to this event . SPENT THE DAY IN THE FINE DINING RESTAURANT PRIVATE AREA CELEBRATING A FRIENDS 50th. I cannot compliment the Chefs and Service Staff highly enough. The view of the racecourse was truly spectacular- uninterrupted views of the parading ring, the entire course and we sat right on the finishing line in air conditioned comfort being truly pampered by first class service from 11am to 6pm. Talk about value for money. OMG. It was as fine a dining experience as I’ve ever had. There was not a moment when we had to wait for a drink. Our food was delivered perfectly - seven course set menu which I can still remember because it was one of the best meals I have had in 2025, by far. We had our own table, our own little TV for watching interstate racing and the absolute perfect view of GC racing. We all won, except for the Birthday Boy 😂, but we shouted his day and his accommodation and we all had the best day ever. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough - even if you don’t know much about racing. It was super high energy fun, superb food and drink and service and gorgeous surrounds.
