Overall, we were unfortunately quite disappointed.. We had my daughter's 18th Birthday here recently. We had a large booking, multiple points of contact to arrange and confirm booking. But when we arrived, they didn't have our booking or table set. My daughter had made a cake herself for her birthday, and was told there would be a $4.50 fee for cackage. Which is fair. Except when we arrived, we were told it was $4.50 per person. Which was not communicated. And that it would be $81 for them to cut the cake (which we didn't want) put it on plates (which we could do ourselves) and add cream (which we didn't want). So it was going to be $81 for them to allow us to use their plates and put them in the dishwasher - to have a homemade cake for my daughter's 18th. It is beyond excessive. Considering they mishandled out booking - they should have offered it for free. However going forward - this really is exuberant, to charge $81 for so very little. We left after lunch and had my daughter's cake in the park instead. My daughter had the $38 antipasto platter - and it was well below standard. We eat ALOT of antipasto platters. The olives were not nice. And there was very little on the platter. Prosciutto, salami. Olives. A small bowl of a few thinly sliced vegetables. A stack of dry - yet tasty bread. And some rocket. We ended up asking for some kind of dip or something to put on the dry bread so something remotely enjoyable could be made out of the dish. I would not recommend this dish at all - as is. There were mixed reviews regarding dishes from our table. So all in all the food was hit and miss. My daughter also found one of the staff filming her. She asked what she was doing and she said she was doing a live social media video. To which my daughter expressed her uncomfortability. She shouldn't have had to. We are out, trying to make the best of our experience. Permission should be asked before you step up to our table and film our guests, minors included, live streaming her special day, for advertising for your business, making the birthday girl and her guests uncomfortable. The service was however friendly and the space was really lovely. However due to the disorganisation - especially for an important event, the hit and miss with the food - considering the cost - and the cackage fee, I would not recommend this venue, nor would we hold an event here in the future unless these areas mentioned were...
Read moreWe recently celebrated our wedding at Greendays Restaurant and Bar on September the 18th. First off, let me just praise Ai Ling and her AMAZING staff! With the border closures suddenly occurring so close to our wedding date, it reduced our guest count by half and we were at a loss of what to do as we knew we couldn't meet the minimum spend of many places. Ai Ling asked us what numbers we had to work with and said "leave it to me". So we cancelled our large ceremony venue (as they wouldn't budge) and decided to hold both our ceremony and reception at Greendays. It was the best decision we ever made! Her and her team were so welcoming and accommodating, our wedding was pure bliss! The girls in the back were so lovely and really made our night stress-free! The food was DELICIOUS. Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing the food tasted and how perfectly cooked and fresh it was. They still rave about it! Don't be fooled by what you see on the outside of the building because as soon as you walk in you are taken to another place, as if you've stepped into Bali or something! This was the first venue that I (my husband didn't come with me) visited and I instantly fell in love! I decided then and there that that was the place we'd celebrate our wedding. What's amazing about Greendays is that because the venue is beautifully decorated with lush plants and flowers, fairy lights and great decor, you really don't need to have anything more! The only extra decor that we used was an arbour and aisle flowers for our ceremony and then we re-used those aisle flowers as decor for the reception tables. All in all, we highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married here! You will not regret it! Thank you again Ai Ling and your wonderful staff for an...
