Actually quite shocked by the service today in fact not shocked disturbed! Myself and m y 8 year old daughter walked passed at approximately 3.25pm today there were croissants and wraps available (chicken/ avacado) and (ham / cheese ) croissants .. the wraps were chicken and then breakfast wraps egg cheese bacon ect there were cakes and other foods available one lady said “ sorry we are closed “ I apologised and said oh! No worries she then informed me she could do me a deal if j paid cash .. I said oh are you selling them off at a lower price ? She said NO we shall sell them tomorrow! I was actually horrified eggs and chicken and ham had been sat there all day ( the “lady assured me they were refrigerated) although touching the outside they were far from refrigerated and also had flies hanging around them 🤢 due to this i suggested “ oh why would you not give them out to people in need ( not suggesting myself) she said no we can sell them tomorrow I then started to take pictures at this point one lady started spraying the outside glass with glass cleaner and forcefully pushing me away (look at the cameras boss) then the young girl started spaying inside glass with food in there telling me it was illegal to take pictures of the food ( which it is not!)) they then proceeded to take a really dirty looking black blanket to cover the food 🤢 I was then told security would be coming I said fantastic… they did not so I went to them! Although not there I spoke with a lovely lady from body corporate who helped … the older lady insulted me by saying why don’t you look after your own daughter ( I can assure you my daughter is very well taken care of we were simply looking for a treat thank goodness we didn’t get one there) So all in all the two staff members were fine before I questioned the sanitary conditions especially with egg / chicken and processed ham ( actually the processed ham would have been fine!)but to be spoken to like I was in front of my daughter was unacceptable… and give your left overs to people in need homeless people / people with no food / people in hospital … do not think it’s ok to sell your baguette/ wraps whatever at the same price $10+ without being questioned also tell your staff who think their in a boxing ring to back off ! Appalling to say the very least …. So you say my response or review is false? Look at the cameras and at least give a decent educated reply and also have decency to reply to me there are cameras everywhere please be decent your reply is just as appalling than my experience as a business owner surely you would take any review as important? But to not even respect my experience is truly rude so the last set of of breakfast rolls were not used today? This picture taken 3.17pm yesterday? And to add to this review I actually rang to speak with the person in charge whom replied to my comment .. I was told no comment! I explained that the reply to my review was defamation due to the fact I have photos with the time submitted and that they were happily selling the chicken/ avocado rolls and breakfast rolls that were made at 6am with egg and bacon which is not hygienic at all in fact in the heat we have here in the Gold coast is a great breeder of salmonella / listeria so an explanation rather than defamation would be more appropriate

Happened upon this wee gem the other day. It is located within the Ashmore shopping centre and look for it as there are a couple of other places offering coffee in the centre also. We chose Primal Barista as the staff seemed happy and the layout and general vibe was a good one. We were only after tea but were tempted by the smile of the lady serving to try one the the Danish pastries. This was a first; after asking she heated the Danish, halved it onto two separate plates, each exquisitely presented and brought it to the table with our tea. Wonderful. The tea was leaf tea which is a very nice touch also. The menu had a good variety with a number of price points to chose from and as vegetarians, there was a good selection there too. We will be back. Great service, great energy, and look forward to trying the food. After our Danish " experience" it should be good.

I arrived early and waited patiently for the store opening that never occured until 7:20 am which is twenty minutes past the scheduled time advertised on the website. At about twelve minutes past the hour after listening to the two employees chatting away I finally asked politely when they planned to open. The response was less than adequate. I was told I could take down a chair amongst a sea of tables and chairs, and have a seat as they were running behind. I went back over to where I had been sitting to wait a bit longer but nothing changed for an additional eight minutes until 7:20 when they finally decided to take the chairs down and sweep from the night before. Perhaps these employees think the rest of the world operates on island time, and up til now Primal Barista has been one of my favourite coffee shops however inadequate service can give people pause to think. Some patrons are not on Island time, have appointments, are extremely busy people, and look to places like Primal Barista as islands of refuge in what can be a extremely busy post pandemic world. So when you see someone leave your establishment without a purchase after having waited for such a long period of time try putting yourself in their place, and have a little grattitude it was not you. People all over Australia cherish their coffee.I know Primal Barista can do better. I will be back...

I’d actually like there to be no stars! I just took my mother (84years young) I choose the Chicken avocado Wrap and my mum choose the Avocado Smash you wouldn’t really expect anything to go wrong in simple snacks! The chicken avocado wrap was so dry it was hard to chew and I’ve got a good set of teeth! The chicken felt slimy against the dry wrap. My mothers very expensive Avocado smash the Turkish bread was rock hard and and the avocado had seen better days! I tried to get the girls attention but she was too busy to speak to me so had to get my mother to the doctors so basically paid for an expensive snack with zero customer service the only saving grace was the coffee wasn’t too bad! Certainly wouldn’t eat there again and you might want to work on your customers service I know it was busy but no excuse for poor service after a poor feed that cost far...
